Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Very, very tempted myself Jazzy but I don’t think she ever did better than those first two albums, which I had the pleasure of seeing live as I’m sure you did. Aaarrrggghhh
She's only supported by a guitarist and cellist Jonny so I think it's a return to folk roots of the first 2....at least I hope !
Although actually her third Days of Open Hand is my favourite!

Have you been checked for pneumonia Val ? I had no voice one day nothing more so luckily my BIL was a doctor and I called in on the way home to find I had a litre of fluid in one lung ,just a course of the doctor's favourite and two weeks off work and all was good . When we were kids pneumonia was a killer , I refer back to those days in sickness it makes me feel grateful for progress .
Thanks ☺️, I saw the GP on Tuesday and have a course of antibiotics which I hope will kick in properly soon. If not by Monday then I’ll be back onto them for another appointment. My grandad died of pneumonia in the 1920s leaving my nan a widow with 2 small girls - not an enviable position in those days. You definitely have to be thankful for medical progress.

Evening everyone, sorry you are still feeling a bit ropey @Val P , hope you are better soon and cuddling Sweet Cicely. Exciting news about the new baby @anjelikaferrett, hope all goes well. Talking of grandchildren Hannah had the day off today - teacher training day - so rang early to ask if she could come round as her Mum was going to the hairdressers. “ I don’t want to go with her. There’s no signal over there and I can’t be without WiFi for two hours!”🙄
Don’t mind a tribute act, Let there B/Dc, The Very Beautiful South also saw Australian Pink Floyd a few years ago and they were excellent. Me and Mr G. used to roadie for a Pink Floyd tribute band some years ago, unfortunately one ego got in the way and they disbanded, a pity because they were really rather good.
We have two youngest grandkids for a sleepover tomorrow night, their parents are off on a jolly, they had better be tucked up in bed by 8pm or there’ll be trouble.😂
I don’t mind a tribute band but probably wouldn’t seek one out. I’ve seen a George Michael one in Egypt who turned out to be Chinese when he took his sun glasses off - he was very good to be fair. I’ve seen a Michael Buble one in Zante which my friend who lived there got us tickets for as a surprise treat - I hadn’t the heart to tell her I can’t stand Michael Buble, and an Amy Winehouse one also in Zante who was flipping awful 😂.
Enjoy your time with your grandchildren 💙

Newry for me today to watch Armagh Minors open their league account against neighbours Down. Pairc Esler is actually equidistant for me from Armagh’s home ground in the City so a very handy 30 minute spin. A couple of lads I coached make their county debuts today and I have lit a candle for them this morning.

12pm throw in then my plan is for pints and the rugby before heading home in good time for our game. After a hard week I think I will treat myself to a nice lunch out while I’m there. You gotta be good to yourself 😀

Hi folks. Hope you feel better soon @Val P.
I'm afraid I'm not in the Kate Bush fan club. I find her and her music intensely irritating. However life would be very dull if we all liked the same things.
I have no music experiences lined up until November when it's the Boomtown Rats 50th anniversary tour. That makes me feel so old......
The Australian flights have come out for next year so I'm going to book soon. We will probably be away for the whole of February 2026 - not necessarily staying in Perth for the whole time but I haven't planned that much yet.
Hoping for three points tomorrow- I didn't realise we were kicking off at 8pm.
Have a good evening everyone x
I'll give you a free pass on that Anj seeing as I'm pretty much the same with Brucie.

Both Australian Pink Floyd and Brit Floyd are huge in tribute band terms. Between them I've seen them 3 times at the Echo arena. My brother in law's best mate used to roadie for Australian Floyd and we got VIP tickets once and met the band. Half of them were British.
