Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

To acknowledge the anniversary of the great man’s passing and birthday this week I’ve had a lovely morning in the kitchen bulk cooking 3 soups whilst listening to Station to Station and Aladdin Sane. Currently watching Tamworth and Spurs in the cup. One of the Tamworth team works in Zara - how cute!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and especially @anjelikaferrett, enjoy your meal later 🥂
I have also been remembering Mr Bowie. Two of my favourite famous people passed within days of each other- either side of my birthday. David Bowie and Alan Rickman. One of my lovely workmates- one of the pie day gang found a copy of The Alan Rickman Diaries in a charity shop and bought it for me. I've just started it.

Yes he was a great actor but I went off him a bit after he cheated on Emma Thompson in Love Actually 😂. Bowie was the greatest of all time to me.

Bowie is the one I miss most and wish that I had seen live. He's so nice too - I've been watching some of his interviews and he is just so normal, very intelligent, very articulate.

I didn’t realise Alan Rickman had died tbh. A great actor…..

I think this is why I love this song….

I prefer her original version to be honest , but the words are magical . I sometimes use them with a 🎼then some words to title a run on “Strava “ a social running App. One of my favourites though is “ The Circle Game “ whose lyrics I often use to sum up my Orienteering runs 🙂

Good morning all. Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes. Like @jazzy a couple of weeks ago, it is my Sgt Pepper birthday. I've realised that 64 years prior to my birth was still in the 1800s. There's a thought for the day! So far I've had a lie in, Charlotte made me breakfast and I think we're going to the Italian restaurant near our house tonight (walkable so I can drink!)
Happy Birthday Anj!

Good morning all ,I hope all had a restful night and have a fantastic day today .I wonder who Moyes will bring in as his backroom staff ?It seems a few obvious candidates are available .Off to the shops today and then hopefully it is warm enough to work outside . Has anyone watched "Playing Nice" with James Norton ? We found it exciting and worth a watch ,my daughter had her hands on her chest with angst .Have a great day all COYB
