Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi everybody. Happy St Patrick's Day. Mr F and I are having a quiet day today - although I have cleaned all the downstairs windows. In time honoured tradition, I used newspaper to do the drying. No streaks. The front windows get really mucky - although our back is surrounded by farmland, our front is on the main road through to Durham so the windows get filthy - especially in this wet weather.
I've been watching the Chelsea - Leicester FA Cup match. Nice to watch stress free football and it was an entertaining game.

I agree with you @Terrarian the amount of fast food packaging that gets dumped is shocking. Why people can't take it home with them is beyond me.

I've also been reading up on what the signs of folate deficiency are - I've had quite a few of them of them for ages and have put some of them down to being overweight (get out of breath, lack of energy) or working on computers (blurry vision). So I've stocked up on folate rich foods - green leafy veg seem to be the top one, and currently searching 'what can I do with cabbage?' Liver was also recommended but that is a massive no!

Have a great Sunday all x
Steam cabbage, I like a bit of cabbage and liver is nice, I particularly like chicken livers. I used to get them as a starter in chilli sauce.

I gave it a like but I've no idea why😀
There was a few English lads just over from me at the Armagh GAA game last night. They were good to watch 😀

While they may not have got the full tactical part of the game, the physicality of it got them hooked. Funny to hear a London voice yell ‘HIT HIM’ followed by a visceral roar.

After chatting to them at HT, it was an Armagh native bringing his Uni buddies over for Paddy’s weekend. No better place for them.

Good morning all on this bright sunny day here in Hyvinkää.I hope all had a good night's sleep followed by a fantastic day .It would be nice to see @jazzy posting ,let's hope the cold is not too bad . I personally enjoyed the Gaelic lesson in pronunciation and hope there is more to come .What a wonderful result last night ,that has put a stop to calls for a quadruple ,the special thing was it was in the last minute of extra time .No chance for them to spawn a goal or influence the ref .I am not a United fan but for today I will thank them wholeheartedly.COYB

Morning all, a lovely morning it is too. Early start again for the school run, soon be the holidays they break up a week on Thursday. The days and weeks were passing quickly before but seem to be going faster now we are measuring our time by the school calendar, no sooner one holiday has gone by and there’s another on the horizon. Not a lot planned for today, whatever you have planned have a good day, all.💙

I like cabbage too although I can’t stand the Savoy variety, I’ll pass on the chicken livers though, thanks. lol

I cannot abide cabbage or even the smell of it. As a kid Mum used to boil it for what seemed days and the overriding smell would make me retch. Of course I was then expected to eat it, which I couldn’t, and would be made to sit at the table for as long as it took. Child cruelty it was. So after sitting there for an hour or two I would flush it down the toilet and wipe the plate edge so it looked as though I’d eaten it…Pete 1 Mum 0. …..

Morning all on another rainy day, hope everyone is well. I wonder if Forest will get hit today, the whole thing is a farce, nobody should be getting points deducted, never mind twice in our situation. Despite doing everything we can to get back in line.

Quick pic of bugger lugs lol

What a class pic. She's living her best life!

G’day everybody, yesterday I was just north of Edinburgh doing a race called “ 20 Along The Forth”. I won’t bore you with the running details, I posted in the Running thread. Here’s some photos though of the iconic Forth Railway Bridge and the “ new” Road Bridge, I was running over the “ old bridge” at the time. T’was a cracking day!

This is the one that flexes slightly when the wind's strong right? Remember due to roadworks the bus to Amazon from Glasgow to Dunfermline crossed that and in a few cases felt like this would be the last trip I take hah
