Had a nice surprise when I went to see Nikki. A couple of the other girls were there and they showed me the bench they had bought and dedicated to Cal.

I use my lawnmower to gather the leaves ,surely you do too. It is so satisfying to look back where you have "mowed" ,a bit like ironing where you see the fruits of your labour immediately .
I did our lawm yesterday and today it is as bad but obviously half as many leaves as there would have been .I am hoping to reclaim a piece of garden that is next to the road and grass it over so I have been dumping the leaves there in the hope 1/ they stay and 2/they mix with whatever is below ground now to create the perfect loam -fat chance here in the forest but one must give one's best .

I do on one lawn.
On the others I use my blower to blow them into the borders and allow the leaves to act as a nutrient for the soil.
