Depends on the scale of offending. Are bans permanent or time constrained?
Fair comment and obvious, if I'd thought about it. Perhaps there's hope for good posters' return then.Depends on the scale of offending.
Slánte a chara. Much appreciated@Bluerover Happy Anniversary a chara.
Yeah good day at the cricket. Nothing in it for the bowlers but good weather and a few pints.Good evening my lovelies, it's so hot and clammy here. I hate it. I love proper sunshine but this muggy stuff can do one. Went to the gym this evening. I did not feel the love. Too hot, too sweaty and not the time to be lifting weights.
In other news, we harvested our first potato crop yesterday. Cooked some of them tonight. They were amazing. Nothing fancy, just boiled them and served with butter. Daughter and I are feeling quite proud of ourselves. We also have 10 tomatoes on our plants. This may not sound much but it is 9 more than we achieved last year!
Hope you enjoyed the cricket @jazzy . Nice day for it.
I mentioned this on another thread , the BBC wanted to use our house to film Chrissie’s story because you could see the back yard from the front door. When my mum found out it was Alan Bleasedale she sent the researcher packing, “I’m not having anything to do with him, nothing but swearing in his programmes”.I love Alan Bleasedale. Great writer. If you have never seen GBH that's worth a watch too. I think that was my most favourite thing ever.
You have to admire someone who has principles and sticks to them ?I mentioned this on another thread , the BBC wanted to use our house to film Chrissie’s story because you could see the back yard from the front door. Just a brilliant series, captured the politics and personal plight of the day perfectly, one of my good mates was an extra in it and appeared in 2 or 3 of the scenes, notably when Yozzer met Souness he said it took ages to film that scene because they were all corpsing.I have spent my afternoon watching The Boys from the Blackstuff. First time I have ever properly seen it but I do remember it being on the telly as a child. Powerful stuff.
Was hoping for more Everton references though.
I remember these at the time.. there was a definite crack down on anything and everything.. a random comment in a thread would get a warning for not being on topic… felt a little handmaids tale but think we have moved passed it .. hope those two in particular come back.Depends on the scale of offending.
TBH mate I don't usually venture outside the alehouse forum too often. There's a lot of hate about.14 up here on the North Coast and haven't had any sunshine during this 'fictional' heatwave. Even rained today (considering the date - that's not all bad ?)
Just popped in to ask (as this is the safest place on the site and I'll get a sensible reply)... it's remarkably quiet and peaceful on the site - did I miss a "mass banning" incident or are a number big characters just lying low?
I got the middle finger from him yesterday for suggesting he may possibly be an armchair supporter, or something to that effect. Not sure really. Maybe because Everton haven't done much in the transfer market there's not much to moan about. Davek ( aka Big Orange) tried to stir it up a bit in his Bernie Ecclestone thread. Sadly I took the bait, in spite of my best intentions lol .
I think last season did see the demise of some big characters and some unexpected bannings. It all got too much for some poor souls. Other than that maybe it's just too hot to argue!
