Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Was doing some e mail tiding up earlier, and came across several exchanges with Rob, the vicar who conducted Nik's funeral service last November. Was deleting them, until I saw the one with the final draft/copy of her funeral service. I have kept a hard copy, obvs, but just couldnt delete her online one.

I think many in this thread will understand, even though its pretty daft.
It's not daft I don't think, it's a memoire and if should you ever lose the hard copy, you have back up, it's probably sensible than daft.

Fred update.

He isn't well. "drifting in and out of sleep " so undoutably the right decision not to come. Anyway he wanted to see the garden so I overcame my tech aversion and managed to send him a video of the garden with commentary too.

Now I've started to drink the wine I thought we would drink together and later me and Mrs J will eat his pizza . Heartless aren't we.

Get well soon Fred.

Not daft at all. I still have my deceased Aunt’s phone number on my mobile and it’s 11 years now.

Maybe I read too much Stephen King.

Same here. Not your Aunt, obvs, but Nik's number. The photo on the front is pure her. (She photographed terribly for some reason!), but its her with our kitten (at the time) on her shoulder.

If I get drunk later, I might link it, face to a name and all that. But knowing me, I will forget/chicken out.

Other news. Not unhappy this dodgy sale has fallen though, it seems.

Hello friends.

On our way to the funeral, still about an hour away so wanted to check how everyone’s day is going? I am sorry to hear @jazzy and @Barnfred 55 meet and greet had to be canceled, but kudos to Fred for doing the responsible thing. I hope you feel been soon too, the thought of you being sick while on Holiday makes me sad so I really wish you a speedy recovery. @anjelikaferrett enjoy your hair appointment and we are always up to see a pic of hairdo. @Gwladysover lovely pics of All Saints’ church, looks like you been having a nice day. @Terrarian it seems Daisy enjoyed her walk today, she cracks me up. @jazzy hope
Rosie has gotten her freedom back and it is running around making a mess of your yard ;) @blue1948 I agree that Richy could have done much better than Spurs, I know he is looking for better career opportunities so I wish him the best, but his passion will be missed. @Armaghtoffee any football training this weekend? @roydo there is nothing daft about wanting to preserve that memory online. @kev I always appreciate your love for birds, nice article. @Bluerover I hope your summer is going well and you been having lots of fun drives in your vehicles.

My Auntie would have loved you Roydo, trust me you have the assured qualities she liked. Never liked football though, cheered on Mexico v Ireland in the WC as they were wearing Green lol

Didn’t know the sale had fallen through! On my holidays tomorrow and have been flat out getting work cleaned up.

Not daft at all. I found out that you can see Google Street View from previous years. I took a screenshot of my mother’s house. It is almost certain she was at home when the image was taken. Probably makes no sense to anyone but to me my Mum is still there.

Your Auntie sounds as though she was quite a character. Have a great holiday.

Seems it has. Not entirely sure what an assured quality is, but if your Aunt would have liked me, I am sure the feeling would have been mutual. Enjoy your hols. Xx

Not daft at all. It's a memory. ( and on a practical level if the hard copy every gets lost or damaged you still have it)
