Just Googled this-

We received quotes from 27 different contractors across the UK. The prices quoted below involve first treating the nest, then removing it.

Just had a pest control guy around to deal with a waps nest in Mrs J's potting shed.

Showed him where it was and stood back whilst he squirted some powder into the nest . "That's it , don't go in there for 3 hours "

£50 quid for , I kid you not , 3 minutes on the propoerty and that included walking to and from the car to the potting shed.

And he was the cheapest I could get !

He probably thinks solicitors rip people off .

I was stung twice on the back of my head a couple of years ago and my wife's face told me all I needed to know as she grabbed the car keys and ran for the car .
I had taken two tablets that we had for the eventuality but I still could hardly walk .The next day I felt much better but had a second head at the back it was so swollen .
I had been stung a few times before but that frightened me .

It’s always sad to when someone passes, I hope you can take comfort in knowing that she lived a long and happy life and passed in her sleep which is all any of us can hope for. Good morning all on this yet another scorcher today here in Hyvinkää
I hope all had a good night's sleep and have a better day today.
It would be nice to hear from any absentees notably @Methuselah .
Not much happening here other than short bursts into the sunlight to water our plants only to retreat in haste .Started to watch "Departure " it has a reasonable plot so far ,with a twist on the obligatory cast .

I'm the same. As a kid I stumbled into a wasps nest and got multiple stings. I'm petrified of the bloody things now.

I lived in a flat once when younger when one day in the rather small kitchen wasps suddenly started coming through a vent in the wall they were very angry and all started slamming into the window to try and escape, I couldn't get to the window to open it for them.

It looked like a scene from a horror movie. Environmental health removed it for free. However that department no longer exists and you have to pay for any pest control now.
