Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Didn't get up until 11am today for some reason, so running a bit behind with everything. The downside of that is that I missed a sunny morning as it started turning overcast about midday. Just about to have some smoked mackerel with side salad for lunch, and later this afternoon I'm going to restart my exercises which I have neglected for a week or so whilst I was away. Just planning a trip to the cinema in Falmouth some time next week to see Top Gun. Wednesday is looking a good day weather wise at the moment. It's the jubilee quiz night in the local pub Tuesday so need to work on the neighbours on that one. It's going to be a harder task now the dad's back too, as he has sort of boycotted it because his father, who died an alcoholic, used to get smashed in there every afternoon. He blames the pub for his father's predicament, even though it was probably over 20 years ago and the current landlord had nothing to to do with it back then. Such is life. I may still go on my own anyway and see what happens.
Do it Fred ,we all are there with you .People have a habit of being people ,no changing that . If you want IPTV we can facebook Fred I will explain

The best thing about last night is that it will put a massive downer on their City tour. Is that today by the way? Glad I'm not there. ha ha.

I mean, 2 domestic cup wins is still a very good achievement as you say T, but last night's loss has got to put a dampener on things to some extent. Especially with the celebratory tour coming so soon afterwards.
3 finals with zero goals scored. Not sure that's much cause for celebration ?

What a great day yesterday.

Big fry up for breakfast ( the only unhealthy meal of the week) , made the taco mix, walked down to the cricket club and watched 3 hours of cricket inthesun with a couple of beers. Then home and had a glass of two of wine in the early evening sun with Mrs J. Tacos were good , then a film ( to avoid the CL final). Film.ended just before end of the final.and temptation got the better of me so watched the last 10 minutes and the salty kopite tears!
Wonderful day!

Just reading about the crowd troubles outside the ground at last nights game. Now we all know what the French police are like, we've been on the receiving end of their tactics once or twice ourselves during our rare European escapades. But I just can't help feeling that the Liverpool fans bring it upon themselves. literally 10s of thousands of ticketless fans would have travelled to Paris last night, and all of them would have genuinely believed they were entitled to get into the ground to watch the game. They always do it. I remember in Athens 2007 when thousands stormed the gates. One of my old clients was there with his wife and 2 young children and they found 4 thugs in their seats. When they asked them to move they were physically threatened. The two children were around 11/12 and were crying they were so scared. I mean these are their own fans ffs. I know my nephew (who is actually a season ticket holder) couldn't get a cup final ticket but he still went to Paris with one of these counterfeit tickets.

It does madden me slightly when I see everybody, the club, the media and even politicians, defending these fans when they should be trying to get to the root of the problem. This seemingly only ever happens when Liverpool are in the final, but not just that, it's every time Liverpool are in the final. There was seemingly no issues with the Real fans last night. It's time the RS media woke up and smelt the coffee. There's a common factor here guys.
