2025/26 Merlin Röhl

….i’ve said from the outset, he looks better without the ball than with it. The bonus could be his versatility, helping Moyes to manage games from the bench in various positions and even be employed as a man-marker.

I don’t believe he carries the same quality as Harrison Armstrong who might’ve overtaken him in the pecking order but we’ll need numbers and he could be an ok squad acquisition.
My brother made same comments - a good football brain but atm lacks a bit of pace - HA did far better in a very poor team yesterday - the left back substitution 2 yards faster than any of out players - been on the bench all season ????

I thought the same yesterday, but as Rohl has talked up his own speed, I assume it’s more about fitness and sharpness at the moment. He seems like a good character and I can see good things in his game, so let’s just hope his fitness holds up and he can build that sharpness.

You have to be so sarcastic - my older brother stated if he picks up a bit of speed the may be a good player in there - he stated he had a good football brain - he was concerned is lack of pace may be either being out of the team or his past injuries?
OMG what's wrong with Cheese or Ham.

You more of a Marmite person..

I just don't know how much him getting settled in will benefit his game when there's such little attributes there to really like and work with. Maybe he's just devoid of confidence or something but I don't even know what position he's supposed to be

To purchase at 20 million we have signed an obligation after a one year loan we can send him back if we get relegated ....

My older brother stated he has a good football brain just two yards slow .......
I’d expect your older brother to be two yards too slow Joseph to be honest

he has been going since 1956 & stated tonight he will not be returning as it was the slowest build up football he has ever seen in his lifetime - Dibling was his biggest disappointment for the fee - & Pickford as good a keeper he is is dictating & having to much to say on general play than he should do ..... he had the ball at his feet than some of our outfield players ......

I owe a lot to him as a kid my late father worked continental shifts at the BICC - my older brother took me to a hell of a lot of games home & away - I am 71 soon - he is 78 soon -We have seen the glory years & the poor years - so I respect what his thoughts are on our beloved club .... I started going in 1962 season ....
