Media bias towards certain clubs

Plenty of decisions went our way in the two derbies. Slot nearly had a coronary at Goodison. Tarkowski challenge was objectively a red card in today's game. The media fury afterwards is another story that fits into the thread, not to mention the behaviour of their fans.

The law is stupid but by the letter of the law the goal wasn't offside at Anfield.

Not every decision goes the way of either team. Fans just expect that them to.
The decisions in the derbies this season are very much the exception than the rule. As a kopite was moaning to me about the decisions, I said we only need another 50 years of luck against you to even things up in the decisions that have gone against us!

The goal at Anfield wasn’t offside, I wanted it to be, but it just wasn’t. Read the rules before wetting yourself on the internet.
Maybe it wasn't offside, rules seem to change all thebtime. However going back to original point, do you agree that Tarkowski not getting a red, received far more media attention than, VVD not getting a red for challenge on Onana? I don't think RS are going to win league, because of VAR or corruption. I just think they've got some dodgy decisions recently. Do you think we would of got penalty decision vs Arsenal, if we were playing against Liverpool and same challenge was committed?

Journalists write to earn money - they earn more money if people read what they write - write about the people with the biggest draw and you get more readers/views/clicks and thus earn more money.
Fairness doesn't pay the bills.
You've conflated journalism, which is a skilled profession and having an opinion, which doesn't require qualications. It isn't an issue if people spout biased rubbish on here or on fan channels. Everybody knew Jeff Stellings allegiance to Hartlepool, he made it clear, people know Shearers allegiance to Newcastle and Ian Wright's to Arsenal. My issue is when you have somebody like Melissa Reddy, who hasappeared on Anfield Wrap channel, not being identified as a biased contributor. You wouldn't guess with her being from South Wales, that she's actually a RS. She simply wouldn't have her job if she was a Scouse RS, because Sky would quite rightly acknowledge she isn't a journalist. Journalists should be impartial, she should be put in actually the same category as Ped and Baz from Toffee TV, Robbie from AFTV, Paul Machin from Redmen TV.

It's Liverpool- centric all over the media and especially Sky . We've just had Salad Day when he signed his new deal , prepare yourself for St.Virgil Day when he does likewise. When they finally seal the league I'll be going for a 2 day hike in the Yorkshire Dales.
You'll need a 2 week hike mate

Journalist are supposed report to inform reader of fact with a good amount of accuracy.
What we have is Client/Access Journalism.

1965 - match of the day starts

Champions that season, Man Utd
Champions after that, Liverpool - then annoyingly most seasons after that till...

Premier league and sky coverage, first season- Man Utd.

Timing of first exposure for those 2 clubs can't be overlooked, which then breeds plastic fans, which then breeds plastic journalists, which leads us here where we are today
