Media bias towards certain clubs

Liverpool do get some soft decisions. Has it handed them the league? Really? They are still the best side in the country, given the ‘big 6’ are all fairly wobbly this season.

I'll agree with that considering their opposition this year has been fragile to say the least, but as they you can only beat What's in front of you and they have accomplished that quite easily. I think people have got something though with the amount of soft decisions they get, what brothers me is the amount of time it takes to give a goal against them when var is called on and it usually is. :) what is it clear and obvious ....

City used to be an afterthought and then they won the league..

Liverpool and Man Utd will always have big coverage as they are huge clubs. That’s just reality. Being good teams started the cycle.
City barely get a mention when they win the league. The other season there was a bigger fuss made of their players singing a City song in the dressing room. Almost as if it was an attempt by the media to take the shine of their achievements and kill momentum. Following season they couldn't get into their stride.

Win trophies - get more coverage - get more fans - get softer decisions.

It becomes a circle that feeds itself.

In games I can think of, off the too if my head. We were denied a penalty against RS, that was identical to penalty that was given to us at Brighton. They were given an offside goal against us at Anfield. Foul in build up to 2nd goal vs West Ham, Konate should of been sent off vs Wolves. VVD should of been sent off against Fulham. Last season Nunez committed 3 bookable offences vs United he didn't get sent off for, Dalot gets sent off for less than Nunez did. Media bias towards RS is no joke, Tarkowski and his family received death threats as did Pickford and his family. It isn't a joke, how 2 challenges without any intent were treated as serious assaults. Dick Van Dykes challenge on Onana was a leg breaker, yet nobody in media besmerched his character like Tarkowski and Pickford. Sons challenge on Gomes was deliberate, he tried to snap him moments before. "But he's not that type of player". So it's fine.

Tin foil hat off and breathe fella.

It's not tin foil hat stuff, RS constantly get decisions in their favour. I've just given you examples, we got a penalty at Brighton for exactly the same thing Konate did in derby. Clattenburgs decisions in derby weren't honest mistakes, they were conscious decisions to favour RS. Some on here think that corruption only exists in countries people are called Lazar, Muhammed, Dimitri and Adetole. Comforting as this view may be, it's a delusional view to have.

If we had a better team, we’d get more coverage. The end.
It's not really the quantity of coverage that is the problem, it's the quality. It is clear that many commentators and pundits almost resent having to talk about Everton. They clearly demonstrate no interest in the club so very quickly run out of anything interesting to say and start going on about what they know more about. More often than not this is Liverpool FC ...
