M'Bia??

He (and his agent) seem to be very good at manipulating the media for their own devices, I get the impression that if he came, it would only be for the money, whereas if we signed a Bradley, he'd be more committed to the cause.

Getting tired about all the M'Bia bullshit in the media. Couldn't care less, if he does or doesn't sign, just get a decision one way or the other. Believe we're waisting our time with him and his agent, aswell as with his current club.

He'll go to Marseille.
They've just spent 17m on Lucho Gonzalez, no way that they can meet Rennes valuation of Mbia.
And please, Mbia is 3 times player that Bradley is... "Commited" my ass...
Also, he can be commited just because he is "dead" on the market compering to Mbia...

Marseilles are champions' league regulars. They have considerably more cash than us.

Are you sure, Richard? I seem to recall hearing something about Marseilles being broke by English standards. Something to with a tiny pot of TV money and the club only being able to charge a tiny amount on the gate. I'm sure we're able to compete with them on a financial footing.

I await our £17m player then.

Well you got a £15m player last season. Not much difference there, lid.

But I think I'm right about Marseilles. They don't have a huge financial clout. I doubt their wage bill, for example, is anything like the wage bill of a top English or Spanish club.

They do get money for their European games, but I don't think they get as much money from TV and so on, since the French league is lower in standard and international interest (among the general public) than the English.

Have Marseille sold players for 17 million? I genuinely don't know.
