My thoughts exactly, why do they need him?
MY first thought is that they want to try and do a ManU, Real Madrid and so on.. Buy enough players that they can field two good teams and then to start selling their fringe players without risk having too small a squad.

I dont want him, his attitude is suspect.
He played very well for whole season, after not having a summer holiday (played at Olympics) and after being linked with 10 various teams over the summer. How you can question a player attitude?

If you can remember last summer, his attitude was questionable when we was then linked with him. I am not the only one who recognised that at the time.

It's questionable for fans who expect some crazy loyalty and kissing the badge every 5 minutes from his players (not mentioning praises for Everton in all their interviews), I don't care about things like it. Even if a player wants to use Everton as a next step for his career, than I'm okay with it, if he he gives 100% for his current team. Rennes was a team which had to spend for Mbia first and he probably (didn't check it) did well for his previous team before he was transferred. Now he was doing well for Rennes, despites being linked with many foreign clubs. If you (or other members here) think that you can expect more from a players (not only football players) these days, you are all wrong. There are Adebayors (who had a horrible last season, being in a similar situation to Mbia last summer) and there are Mbias - I can live with Mbia, knowing that even if in 2-3 years he will want to replace us for a bigger team with us, he will still do a job unless he will leave.

M'Bia scored 0 goals last season for Rennes, ok he may be of a defensive type but what can he add to what we already have? I would much prefer Moyes to buy the likes of Joe Ledley, Fabien Delph and Kyle Naughton. I respect your opinion and cannot say you are wrong, just that i have slightly different opinions.

Ok., cheers mate.

Regarding M'bia - He would add tenacity, athleticism and size in DM/CM position, something that we lack big time - except for Rodwell, but he's still 18 years old, so he will have his up and downs during the season.

What is M'Bia's pace like because we lack in that badly?

Reports in France suggest that Everton and Marseilles have both lodged official bids for Stephane M'Bia, with the Blues' €12m offer trumping that of l'OM, thought to be €9m.

The report in Foot Mercato indicates that Rennes are satisfied with the Everton offer but will sell the Cameroon international to the highest bidder and Manchester City and their bottomless purse are also reported to be interested.

Game over then :( They will ruin the transfer market for us all.
The end of the Premiership is fast approaching
