Anyone know if you can take a golf umbrella into the ground?

I have a pair of sons from Argentina over who will die of pneumonia if they get a good wetting tomorrow

Strictly speaking they could confiscate it, but it's normally only in away sections that golf umbrellas aren't allowed. You often see a few in and around the ground.

Just take it, might ask the steward before you scan your ticket thou but i reckon youwill be ok, if they say no go and hide it in the car park behind the Park End
