To help protect yourself, please read the following guidance carefully before buying or selling:

💳 Payment Method. Never pay via direct bank transfer. This offers zero buyer protection - once the money is sent, it cannot be reversed and your bank is unlikely to refund any losses. Always research your payment method before using it. PayPal, for example, offers meaningful buyer protection and is strongly recommended over a bank transfer.

🤝 Where possible, arrange to meet face to face - ideally at an Everton match - and exchange tickets in person.

👤 Check Their Forum Profile Review the seller's forum history. Have they been a member for a long time, or did they register recently? Do other members speak positively of them? A long-standing, active member with good feedback is a much safer bet.

Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

Your issue should be why you're paying £35 per person, per season, for access to a ticket lottery. Rather than with a season ticket holder, wondering why he doesn't have access to a resale platform to buy an ad hocs for their daughter or whatever. Remember, season ticket holders can pay £35 for additional membership to buy another ticket so this isn't about managing demand. It's a cashgrab.
You are spot on with this.
It's absolutely robbery that you have to pay for access to the ticket 'lottery'.
However, (given that this is what the current situation is) then it would be crazy to just allow STH to buy an extra ticket for a mate.
The only way any none STH would ever have of getting a match ticket would be if they had a friend who was a STH 🤷‍♂️

Interesting how quick mentality changes.

What changed, was Everton deciding you had to be a paid up member, each season, for the chance to have access to a single ticket. 1 paid member = 1 paid ticket.

That then moved on to not just having priority access, but exclusive access, to the resale platform. So unless you pay an annual fee, you don't have a chance to buy.

But whatever way you want to spin or justify it, football is now in a place where fans have to pay an annual fee, to enter the lottery to purchase tickets. Remarkably, fans never contested that.

No good.
It’s a hard situation since the issue of resale is exploitive for both sides. I can’t even get to the match now cos absolutely no way am I paying “just in case”. Which makes me a terrible supporter. Had a ST for 25 years and stopped going about 8 years ago, counts for nothing.

They can though mate, they just have to pay £35 more.

That tells you it's all about the money - not fairness.

Priority windows to buy I can stomach, but restricting access to paid annual subscriptions to access resale, or transfer tickets to friend and family is piss poor.

For me, the crux of it for me is the club, no club, should be allowed to incentivise paid annual membership based on a lottery of ticket access, only if you pay an seasonal fee.

And this is why it's a terrible situation.

Been calling it out for 10+ years on here, since the club oversubscribed season ticket holders.

People often don't understand how bad it is - if I couldn't make West Ham, and wanted to transfer my ticket to you - you'd have to pay £35 to be allowed to receive that ticket. Insane. And your membership would only be valid for the rest of this season.

I become a fan because my dad was able to get tickets to the odd game - nowadays, that wouldn't happen. Long term, the club will lose fans if there's no accessibility for the casual match go'er. Other clubs cap season tickets less than ours, for good reason.

Does anybody know what the percentage of STH is for us and the rest of the prem?
Just how widely does it vary from club to club?

Looking for a couple of West Ham tickets and have a membership so went on the resale platform. Is it usual that there's absolutely nothing on there, does anyone actually use it or just sell their tickets privately?

I posted my Brentford tickets last season. They were sold within 15 minutes of me posting them. At the present time if anyone does post anything it will be gone very quickly and there’s nothing you can do other than constantly keep checking.

Some pop up but you can’t get a sniff beating the bots on there. I’ve seen about 2-3 West Ham ones over the past few days but far too slow. Never going to beat a bot. That’s how the third party rip off sites are getting them. It’s called a ‘Ticketmaster spinner’ bot and there’s even an Everton specific one you can buy that grabs resale tickets and automatically buys them. Costs $1800 mind
