To help protect yourself, please read the following guidance carefully before buying or selling:

💳 Payment Method. Never pay via direct bank transfer. This offers zero buyer protection - once the money is sent, it cannot be reversed and your bank is unlikely to refund any losses. Always research your payment method before using it. PayPal, for example, offers meaningful buyer protection and is strongly recommended over a bank transfer.

🤝 Where possible, arrange to meet face to face - ideally at an Everton match - and exchange tickets in person.

👤 Check Their Forum Profile Review the seller's forum history. Have they been a member for a long time, or did they register recently? Do other members speak positively of them? A long-standing, active member with good feedback is a much safer bet.

Why is it ridiculous? Why should he get a ticket just because he has a friend who is a season ticket holder?
Now that WOULD be ridiculous.
It's ridiculous in my opinion and circumstance that's why.
You're either a member or you're not instead of this halfway house. So swap that friend to wanting a ticket for my daughters who are members, but can't buy their own. This will occur next year, so I'll have to get a membership as well as my season ticket. Ah well forewarned and all that.

It's mad this scramble for tickets because it's the last season at Goodison. I know everyone's circumstances are different but it does make me wonder why most haven't been bothered going for the last 5/10/15 years

Completely agree. Buying a season ticket gaurantees you one ticket for every home game, it doesn't make you an avenue for your friends and family to access the members only section without paying the £35 everyone else pays.

Ugh, thought I had tickets for Saturday sorted via a guy on Twitter but turned out to be a scam.

Beware, they're sofisticated , he had pictures of a legit season ticket, all communication was perfect. Gave him our membership numbers which I gather is ok.

Didn't spot it til revolut flagged it as a dodgy account.

On the off chance someone has two for West Ham game, I've flights booked over with my son for his birthday. (Yeah sob story included 😅)
Thought I had the same mate. Probably the same prick! Thankfully I never sent anything but only because they insisted on bank transfer or friends and family on PayPal. He’s still advertising them on Twitter as well so hopefully nobody else falls for it

I've heard revolut and pay pal are a sing of scammers as it's harder to trace, whereas a bank transfer could be traced and easier to be caught so they wont use it

Interesting how quick mentality changes.

What changed, was Everton deciding you had to be a paid up member, each season, for the chance to have access to a single ticket. 1 paid member = 1 paid ticket.

That then moved on to not just having priority access, but exclusive access, to the resale platform. So unless you pay an annual fee, you don't have a chance to buy.

But whatever way you want to spin or justify it, football is now in a place where fans have to pay an annual fee, to enter the lottery to purchase tickets. Remarkably, fans never contested that.

No good.

Your issue should be why you're paying £35 per person, per season, for access to a ticket lottery. Rather than with a season ticket holder, wondering why he doesn't have access to a resale platform to buy an ad hocs for their daughter or whatever. Remember, season ticket holders can pay £35 for additional membership to buy another ticket so this isn't about managing demand. It's a cashgrab.

Priority access to tickets I can tolerate/accept, but not access to resale. Its not up to season ticket holders to fulfil demand/add value to paid annual membership.

Something that was only fairly recently introduced - in my view, to try an quell complaints from members who paid the fee for a chance to tickets and wouldn't have a sniff.

Also, access to 'members only section' was only recently pulled for season ticket holders. As was the ability to transfer your ticket to someone who wasn't a member. So someone now has to pay £35 each season, just to be able to receive a ticket I'm transfering to them? And people wonder why the club want rid of cards....

Football is giving airlines a run for their money, it stinks.
