💳 Payment Method. Never pay via direct bank transfer. This offers zero buyer protection - once the money is sent, it cannot be reversed and your bank is unlikely to refund any losses. Always research your payment method before using it. PayPal, for example, offers meaningful buyer protection and is strongly recommended over a bank transfer.

🤝 Where possible, arrange to meet face to face - ideally at an Everton match - and exchange tickets in person.

👤 Check Their Forum Profile Review the seller's forum history. Have they been a member for a long time, or did they register recently? Do other members speak positively of them? A long-standing, active member with good feedback is a much safer bet.

Match Ticket Thread - Spares/Requests - FACE VALUE OR LESS ONLY!

Primarily it's to make it a bit easier for the people who spend the time and effort to run a Supporters Group.

Looking at Villa for example, if you have 14 credits, you will qualify for a ticket regardless. But if you have 14 credits, you won't be able to purchase until tomorrow afternoon. So for example, a Supporters Group may have 30 members who will qualify for a ticket based on their away credits, but you may have 10 members on 18 credits, 10 members on 16 credits, and 10 members on 14 credits, all of which will ultimately qualify for a ticket. To make things easier and allow Supporters Group members to sit together, and to avoid Supporters Group owners having to make multiple purchases on multiple days, Supporters Groups can email the club a day or two before the ticket release with the names and numbers of all their members who want a ticket. These tickets are then held back (the grey seats you saw), and are manually processed in one go by the Box Office, which allows all the Supporter Group members to sit together, and saves the people who run the groups a load of faff.

You could argue 'why don't all the members just order their own tickets on the website', but this results in all the members who have travelled to the game together being spread across various parts of the stadium, and sort of takes away from the point of being in a Supports Group, and more than likely means not as good an atmosphere in the away end, which I don't think anyone wants.

Over the years EFC have removed the majority of benefits that affiliated Supporters Groups get, this is the one remaining thing that is of any benefit to them that the club still offer. I run a Supporters Group but I still buy our tickets via the website using the Friends and Family list, but there are not many of us and we are all on the same credits more or less, so it's less of an issue for me. But I can only imagine the ball ache it'd be for people who run larger Supporter Groups, so I personally don't begrudge them this one little benefit.
fair enough, thanks for the explanation.

Looks like 14 will be the bench mark for the bigger allocations, this season.
Enough to cover all the fans with 14+, and if not everyone takes it, straight to 10…

If you’re on 10, j guess it’s fastest finger on Wednesday when it comes on!

The interesting one this season will be Brentford

Standard allocations at most grounds are in the region of 3000 and it looks like 14 credits will cover that

Brentford allocation is just shy of 2000, which is better than it used to be for Bournemouth, but no idea how many you'll need for that

EDIT - Apparently the away allocation at Brentford is just over 1700, which isn't a great deal higher than it used to be at Bournemouth (roughly 1200)

With the Brentford game being our final away fixture in November, based on how the club have worked the credits in the past, it should be the last fixture whose credits are based on the previous season. Be interesting to see if that remains the same, or if this is the first fixture to be based on this season's credits

Would make sense to do it on the previous season as there will be a lot of people with completely full credits for that game, given the fixtures and allocations we've had to start the season

I worked it out the other way and thought it would be this season’s record, but who knows :). Odd goings on this afternoon, I went on my account and despite my mate buying and me being able to see Villa ticket and coach I could have bought another ticket.
