Match of your life.

The matches that stick out most for me are the 4-4 draw against the RS in 91, we showed back then what they do nowadays with a not know you're beaten attitude.

The Wimbledon match in 94 was just mental and I don't think a match has ever lasted as long as that one, it was like it was in slow motion where the 90 mins seemed more like 4 hours.

The FA cup semi in 95, to a man everyone was lauding spurs and salivating at the prospect of a 'dream final' and we just blew them clean out of the water. I doubt we'll ever see such an easy walk through to a final again.

Royles first game in charge
94/95

Bottom of the league with one win all year this game was late Nov or early Dec. Liverpool were top of the league .

On sky's Monday night football goodison under the lights .

Everton 2 Liverpool 0

Big duncs first goal and rideout .

School was fcking great all week after that .

This game was the start of the dogs or war and us staying up and winning the cup .

Cracking pitch invasion at the final whistle.

The arl fella at the end hugging and kissing dunc was boss

...I think so but one from left field has to be the Southampton semi final at Highbury as it had been so long and it was the realisation that we once more were on the verge of being the country's top team.

Loved it! Bizarrely, was on the pitch trying to get bits of the turf, to remember the occasion, while the local pc were looking at me thinking I was sub-human haha.

Spurs semi. amokachi coming on when he wasn't supposed to and scoring two memorable goals.

Chanced upon a vip tickets for it. Free beer and food all day but, I'd had a bit of a 'late' night so was properly hungover and it was an early kick off!
The smarmy 'you're fired' guy was there, swooping in pre-match with his entourage. Loved it that he wasn't that smarmy afterwards (well he was but that's him).
Hangover was cured by Amo et al and had a good few beers after it!

Wimbledon Day for me.

Wembley, Rotterdam and winning the Title at both Goodison and Norwich were not as emotional for me as that day was.

And secondly there was the Spurs semi final at Leeds in 1995.

The noise we made from the three sides of the ground we were allocated as the teams took the pitch literally made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up

And it stunned the Spurs fans into silence over in the big main stand they were given and made their players freeze out on the pitch.

Looking at the lineup for that game it's not a terrible team on paper is it. How bad must Mike Walker have been.
I got to know one of the Wimbledon defenders in the late 90s, he told me they were all very scared, especially after the coach was burnt out (stayed at the Daresbury), and fans outside. Vinny Jones especially as he knew he was hated at GP after the ratcliffe headbut (89?). Jones told manager at 1/2 time to take him off 10 mins before the end if EFC not winning or he'd go down injured and force change. Only thing my mate wouldn't talk about was what was said to Segers after the game.
