Beating United on pens on my first trip to Wembley is probably my overall favourite experience at a game. Best game of football I've been to was the 5-3 v Blackpool. Best atmosphere I've experienced was Fiorentina. Most satisfying performance was probably Arsenal 3-0. Most satisfying win, bar the United semi was probably the Gosling derby.

So many nearly moments and glorious failures ffs.

Whats the most memorable Everton match that you've witnessed as an Evertonian?

You don't have to of been in the stadium, just a game that took place during your time as an Evertonian.

This is an idea taken from Radio City, as I've just listened to Tony Scotts choice.

He chose the 1-0 V UTD in 04/05

I'd go with Everton beating Arsenal 3-0

This is obviously an age related thread so some of the older folks will have Trophy winning memories.

What's yours?

There can only be one. Bayern in 85. Nothing else comes close for me.

For me New Year's Day game against Aston villa thirty years ago ish ... Walking into the stadium opposite the main stand with the flood lights on for my first ever game .... I know how the gladiators felt the first time they stepped into the collasium ..
There's a thread in its self.
My first ever game was in the top balc. Going up the escalators for the first time was space age, then me dad took my hand and we went to our seats. I looked down on to the pitch and froze. I literally couldn't move my legs. No human should be this high up.
A steward had to help me get moving and I inched to my seat without lifting my feet. I never budged for the whole game for fear of falling over the edge.

Many, for different reasons - maybe one of the few I went with my late brother, maybe a game we won something or other (or one of those others recall, or a great European night, home or away), or the winning of the league (being there) or listening to us save our skins at The Manor... definitely some important times we beat that lot.. or stuffed a top side..

But I digress: I'm going to go for Spurs away 2-1 1985 - the night I travelled down with my old fella, nearly got chucked off the front of the main stand, got pished and celebrated our imminent greatness.

For me, Chelsea in the cup last season, for a few reasons other than just the actual result. I was working in a bar in Liverpool on Seel st, I'd just started the job a few weeks, and a group of lads came in, seen them with the Everton tickets as I was serving them and got to talking, saying how I wished I was up at the match and that they were lucky bastards not having to work etc etc... 1 hour later they came up to me and said, "hey lad we've got a spare ticket, our mate can't make it. Can you get out of work for it?" I ran straight up to the office and asked the boss could I go. He said no at first as he couldn't get cover, so I came down and told the lads I couldn't make it. I was totally gutted but the boss came down 15 mins later and said, "lad if it was Liverpool I'd be busting to go, so go ahead, just come back after and work a few extra hours." So luckily the lads with the ticket were still there and I went over and not only did they give me the ticket but they refused to accept money for it!

So we all got the taxi up, me and a bunch of Evertonians that I didn't know, and surprisingly I felt right at home! We had a right laugh and a few pints in The Brick then headed for Goodison.

We were sat in the Park End right beside the Chelsea fans and the atmosphere was electric, the fans were giving each other all the abuse and a few Chelsea fans got kicked out for jumping over the barriers to try and have a go at us, they were launching scarves and all at us lol I found it amusing how easily the Park End got them wound up! At least that's something we're good at as a collective

When the first goal went in we were buzzing, jumping around like maniacs with a bunch of strangers I didn't know, when Lukaku scored that solo worldie I actually thought I was having a heart attack I celebrated that much lol lost my breath and all, another guy we were with said he was the same, after the match in The Brick! When the 2nd went in I knew the game was ours and I was up on my seat going mad, along with everyone else! What a great game! It was the games like that that made me think Martinez was the guy to take us forward and was taking us in the right direction!

So anyway, we had another few in the Brick and I went back to work more than tipsy but probably in the best mood I'd ever been in whilst at work!

Would love to meet those lads again, forgotten all of their names like but they were all 100%, genuine lads and true Blues, would love to have a few pints and get to another game with them again!

Couldn't get a ticket for the shabite game but was at the WBA game. Got to love Little Whittle
We got a ticket after 1 hour of going around the touts Imwas about 15 yrs old my older brother took me stating anywhere but the Kop - no luck - then 20 mins to kick off he came to me waving two tickets I started to walk to the Anfield rd end he shouted Kop tickets only my legs stomach turn red to jelly the noise that place made - we got in st the back I fell in the crush to be saved by a black Kopite who rammed his knee against the barrier and gauraded me fromthe crush my brother came and found me as he was shouting lost boy here in a blue and white bobby hat - we then moved lower down to see a great blues performance two first half goals by Joe and Whittle sealed a champions performance we played them off the park - the Anfield road end in the 2nd half just repeatedly chanted champions champions all through the 2nd half !
About 3-4 thousand blues in the Kop that day I thank the Kopite who saved me got on the wrong side of the barrier!

My late Dad was on the Kop that day too. Said there was nowhere else he would rather have been that day!!! Not so good next season like when we blew a 2 goal lead but he was delirious coming home from that one.
