Let @Connor throw you a link to get a discount for the first year, put some cash in the lad's pocket
"For free"? Tut.Researching and writing it is not the same as a publication's legal team deciding its bulletproof enough to publish.
If you can point me in the direction of large cash sums for not writing about FIFA's corruption, I'd be grateful. I feel like such a fool to have not written about for free all this time.
No disputing they exist - but we're talking a tiny minority surely. Not off the top of my head but I know papers such as Der Spiegel have locked horns with FIFA (quick google) Rafael Buschmann seems a good sort and has co-authored books on the corruption in football. Phillipe Auclair often speaks/writes about FIFA in less than glowing terms as well.
Zero Everton content atm - probably worth holding off for some folks

Acceptable colloquialism. Prompting familiarity in the reader. I'd let it slide."For free"? Tut.
"For nothing" or "free of charge"![]()

I'm sorry but that is a disgraceful post. No basis whatsoever for most of what you've written.
The patch for Notts Forest is getting offered out at £36k.
Unbelievably well paid.
That being said, a lot of the smaller patches are only looking at 6-8 month contracts, to see how the subs go. They'll also be doing other work, obviously, not just on their patches.
The big writers - JPB, Daniel Taylor, and big patches (Sam Lee, James Pearce) will be on big money.

That theory in full is a simple one: as a fan, you shouldn’t wear the jersey of a player younger than you.
That’s it, full stop, no wiggle room.
That means if you’re 41 years old it’s acceptable to wear a Zdeno Chara jersey, but a teal sweater bearing the name of the ever-spritely Joe Thornton is off-limits. Heaven forbid you decided to go even younger to someone like Patrick Marleau.
The overarching logic here on why this is unacceptable can be summed up with three words, “because it’s weird.”

You've got no chance mate you'd immediately upset your target audience. It's Nottingham Forest and Notts County!!! Or perhaps that's how modern journalism works these days![]()
I've got no problem with Mikey's general view that people can be quick to dismiss children for the wrong reasons. However, I have not seen any evidence that chrismpw has or would behave in such a way. This is what I didn't like about Mikey's original post. To be honest, I think that we are all agreeing.Having a child with autism who was in the main failed by the current "Academy" system of schooling I do have a lot of sympathy for this post. However I can also see your point of view as well as there is no real way of knowing how good a teacher the original poster was/is from a few irreverent posts on a forum.
As an aside we found the more mature, traditional values type of teacher far more understanding of our daughters needs and as a consequence wherever she had these teachers for her GCSE's she achieved good results. Sorry off topic I know.

You make a great number of assumptions about people, and then argue with what you assume to be true. It seems your imagination is cavernous.
You should try your hand at being a reporter.
I’ve been pondering subscribing to a couple of outlets as I’m fed up of reading garbage every day. Even the BBC partake in a bit of click bait now and they don’t even run adverts.
Spent a lot of time making assumptions about journalists. Plenty of them are well regarded and write about important issues in major newspapers. It’s no one else’s fault if you want to insult journalists without looking for those of quality.
