Helps that Holgate and Williams are friends off the pitch. They’re developing a really good understanding and partnership at the heart of the defence which is great to see.

Both superb again tonight.

..he’s been terrific, Matey. My son pointed out that he ‘dies for the cause’ and he really does put his body on the line. We haven’t really come up against a big fella CF but he’s gone under the radar a bit with his outstanding performances. Quality but plays like the game matters.

He's far more aggressive and dominant than in the past; very impressed lately.

Got to give BFS some credit here, both Holgate and Williams have improved immensely since he came in. He knows how to get a solid defensive unit does Sam.
