New manager, new style...
We need to change something and soon. I love the style in which we play now but it's just not clinical enough. And I hate to say this but at the moment something needs to change and soon. After drawing the opening three games and winning a league cup game, the style of football we play I believe does not create chances. Last season we were a force going forward and we had a strong defence where as this year it seems we have no threat up front.
We cannot blame Jelavic because the service to him simply is not good enough. It seems like Baines and Pienaar don't want to cross the ball. All we seem to be doing is playing the ball across the 18 yard line and losing it before we play the killer ball.
We scraped through a Stevenage side where we domintaded the whole game, but we just could not score because we weren't creating the chances. It was frustrating watching the past 3 games and this International break could not come at a worser time. When our next game is against Chelsea who look unbeatable this season. Which is looking like just 3 points from our opening 4 games which is incomparable to last season. I seriously think we're missing Tim Cahill. Him leaving, I believe was a major turning point in Jelavic's from because he provided the little flick ons and the areal threat.
I know it's early days but Martinez please bring a playmaker in or something.
P.S since when did Victor Anichebe become our 3rd choice striker. Kone is sh*t I'm sorry.
