I honestly felt with a bit of disipline and composure we could have got a result there,we fell to pieces and nothing was done to try and alter it until it was too late,it was poor team selection and poor management tonight, Naismith is not a premier league player,Barry is gone, besides them two another 5/6 players are needed and we wont have the money to get them in,so even replacing the manager wont solve the problems ahead
There is a real argument now for cashing in on the players we have and aiming to do a Newcastle while we build the stadium.

Plus the premier league is far too competitive at the moment. There's 6 teams that can blow us away in our spending. Even getting into Europa next year will incredibly difficult.

Thats enough isn't it.
But you can add to that naismith, kone and mcgeady for starters
So you agree we need at the very least 5/6 new players next season whoever the manager is,start of the season robles ou wouldnt pick ahead of Howard and even now I would be wary of playing him,we have a very thin squad

Too bad he'll be sodding off like Lineker after a season too
Yep

I feared before the game if we didn't make the CL he would and now the reality has happened I think there's a good likelihood of that. Hopefully he will stay another year and wait for the right team but without Europe I suspect he will be wanting to move on.

Mirallas will certainly be gone.

Agree with most of that j but dont mind naismith looks one of the few who cares and god help him like the rest of them doesnt seem to have chance to settle in a position, your right about not having the money to make the changes needed, plus how do you keep the likes of rom from going as soon as he gets the chance , and he will have , who could blame him ,

Doesnt work though does it. If you've got 5 sides all getting over 70 points it just means they're all picking up loads of points off the sides below. If you get 4th with 61 it shows the other teams have taken a lot of points iff the top teams. 4th us better than 5th, points are irrelevant when you finish up empty handed.

Or the team's aren't good enough to beat the "lesser" sides below them.

We don't have a thin squad,we have the biggest squad i can remember.
We need a manager that can develop players, get a winning mentality and that tactically knows what he is doing
