He has changed from earlier on in the season mate but still has work to do.
I am surprised at how kev and ross have gone backwards and just hope the rest in the summer will benefit them next season.
Just one point, we all know that Ossie is not a 90minute player ,and hasn't been for two seasons, but he persists in leaving him on, why ? And we all know that if a team arrives to defend,he has trouble dealing with it. We have just had two back to back defeats against two of the poorest sides in the prem, and no one can say we were unlucky .

More inclined to be critical when we are rank. Today we were easily deserving of the win but bad fortune at both ends cost us. They used up a year's worth of luck today and they needed it all.

I know we dominated the possession and all that but i thought they earned their win really, they were massively disciplined in their performance and very organised. Did you see how relaxed Advocat was before the game, laughing and posing for photos with the young Evertonians. I got the feeling he'd done his homework and knew he had a good chance of taking some points home with him.

When I saw how they set up and how they kept tying that same ball in behind our full backs for the first 30 mins it was obvious he had seen something.

Yeah ossie has about 30 minutes in him now.
He started off well but faded and should have been subbed.
I do think we were unlucky today though they never deserved the win

I have been a supporter of Martinez until the last two games, but in those he has shown an inability to reorganise his team to meet different challenges from teams fighting against relegation and he has also not managed to motivate the players.
The body language of the whole team today was awful, they never had the will or the belief to go out and beat a pathetically poor Sunderland side.
If the manager can't get them up for games like these then he has to go. Given last season's performances he deserves until Christmas to pull things around. If he can't do that then we should appoint a new manager in January, in time for him to act in the transfer window.

Don't think next season is going to anything like season 1 or season 2.

It will be somewhere in between. We'll be sailing along somewhere around 8-10th for the next few seasons I'd guess, with a few lessons having been learnt.

Will that be acceptable though, is the more pertinent question.

Martinez and Kenwright: lowering expectations is their game!

Think this is just about correct. Maybe us EFC fans , particularly the ones who go the game, need to accept, that with this manager and this board, we are not going to win anything, so we are we are we are, so lets just sing loads a songs during the games like YB of Berne andget some enjoyment out of going the game

Hes either making us Wigan or Moyes Everton. Hes no improvment .Last season was fluke of all players come in form at right moment. I did not say much about him ,but thing he do make no sense to me , like changing team against Vila when u on row of good games to play Naismith .If he chose to play some young player ( even 15 year old boy he believe in ) and change becaouse of that then i would see what hes doing and why. Late subs , not using sub, Barry on field always, like hes best player in world and not snail who play with hes brain because he can't outrun anybody in league and need rest every few games.Only can hope hes some crazy mastermind who will pull something next season and make me look stupid ,becouse we are awful.

Would you take moyes back? I know people will go on about Martinez occasionally winning away at the bigger teams... But what's the point when you loose to all the relegation fodder at home...

To the Martinez fans. Are you happy with:-

Losing fourteen from thirty six games
Having not won a game when conceding the first goal for over fifteen months
Having won only three points this season when conceding the first goal
Not being able to take corners
Not being able to defend corners
Almost as many hamstring injuries as points
One-dimensional tactics/game-plan and refusal to change
Substitutions too late
Bulls*it interviews
No eye in the transfer market
Not scoring from open play in three hours of football against THAT Sunderland defence
Embarrassing leadership over penalties

This is the most expensive squad ever assembled ffs yet, despite his obvious stubborness, some people still think he is the right man.

The post earlier suggesting that last season was a hybrid between the outgoing influence of Moyes and the new manager was spot on in my opinion.

We now only have the influence of the new manager and were found-out before Christmas last year. To those who want to keep him, what makes you think we will be unfound-out?
Yes
All that typing for a one word answer.....shocking

I think it's just you mate.

We haven't won a game for fifteen months when we've conceded the first goal and we have won three points this season (City, Liverpool, Sunderland) when we've conceded the first goal.

Wasn't ambiguous from what I can see.

Gotcha - 3 lots of 1 point. I see it now pal.

Same problems yesterday as throughout most of the season. If a team parks the bus then we can't break them down. We then leaves gaps for the counter attack and end up losing against rubbish sides. Martinez just can't seem to find an answer to that.
