Well Moyes did not have a top six squad and relatively much less to spend (compare with Martinez).
He had a top 4 squad in his early years so you could say we regressed under Moyes in a similar way we can say we have regressed under Martinez even though he has had only 2 seasons. We have really only been spending money that has come from transfers as always.

To the Martinez fans. Are you happy with:-

Losing fourteen from thirty six games
Having not won a game when conceding the first goal for over fifteen months
Having won only three points this season when conceding the first goal
Not being able to take corners
Not being able to defend corners
Almost as many hamstring injuries as points
One-dimensional tactics/game-plan and refusal to change
Substitutions too late
Bulls*it interviews
No eye in the transfer market
Not scoring from open play in three hours of football against THAT Sunderland defence
Embarrassing leadership over penalties

This is the most expensive squad ever assembled ffs yet, despite his obvious stubborness, some people still think he is the right man.

The post earlier suggesting that last season was a hybrid between the outgoing influence of Moyes and the new manager was spot on in my opinion.

We now only have the influence of the new manager and were found-out before Christmas last year. To those who want to keep him, what makes you think we will be unfound-out?

I won't call it early years. It was his third season right? And all I can remember was he got a team consisted of Alexandersson and Gemmill from Walter Smith to start with.

All I am saying is now we can afford to have net spend but Moyes, if I remembered correctly, was doing miracle in transfer market so that this club can survive while maintaining as a top tier PL team in the last decade. We literally have to sell to buy but I guess we don't have to do that now thanks to the new TV money.

Should use some of this anger towards the board. Theyve been failing for decades
Your right regarding the board but as for the manager he is staying and its going to be a long summer if we keep debating his position every few days.
There is a lot for him to do and after the last 2 months he deserves a crack at taking us into next season,i like many just hope he learns from his mistakes

Is it just me but do these points contradict themselves ?

But he never does mate, it's like bleeding ground hog day.

I think it's just you mate.

We haven't won a game for fifteen months when we've conceded the first goal and we have won three points this season (City, Liverpool, Sunderland) when we've conceded the first goal.

Wasn't ambiguous from what I can see.

He has changed from earlier on in the season mate but still has work to do.
I am surprised at how kev and ross have gone backwards and just hope the rest in the summer will benefit them next season.
