Well, the internet isn't usually a bastion of good natured optimism to be fair
In the "real" world, most people I spoke to were alright with it
The blues I knew at the time in real life weren't impressed either, tbh.

He still has my support but he gets on my tits in press conferences and interviews now, I'm fairly sure if we were winning game after game I'd change my tune, because I'm a fickle tosspot, but for the time being I'm gonna carry on turning off the radio or MOTD before it gets to his interview.
Sorry, I was in favour of bringing Gibson in.Re Gibson

He is what he is. It's like having a cat and expecting it to bark if you give it a bone.
Ha Ha.I gave my cat a bone, sadly she's no longer with us.

It sounds consistent to me. A quality rarely found amongst fans, granted.
Last season he was always making the general point about belief and playing without fear to get the best out of players, and praising their attitude. What should he do this time around other than what he has been saying: that in order to play our way out of this players need to get on the ball and make it happen and believe in themselves.
He cant do it on the pitch himself and it's no use turning 180 degrees from last seasons message because he'd lose all credibility as a manager.
Why cant people accept that this positivity of his is his character? Should he turn himself into some nobhead tea cup smasher and hairdyer manager to make fans feel better about a loss?
What a phoney that'd make him...like that divvy over the road who switches from one message to another at the drop of a hat.
You want to be thanking me for standing against the RAWKisation of this once fine forum mate.
Just because you look a tit at wanting our manager jibbed off because he ruined YOUR weekend.
Ah you sweetie you.
Not if it's to become someone you are not.But is there any need to be consistent?
There's nothing wrong with changing.

except I don't want him jibbed off at all at least not yet dearie
but you jumped to that conclusion because I said all blues should be allowed to voice their opinions
which shows the fascist and snobbish attitude that you have towards other evertonians that you consider are not good enough because they don't have the same view as you
It'd be easy to give critics what they want. Bending the knee and becoming something you're not to get out of a tight spot. When things are dire the last thing you want to hear from your manager is lame excuses and weary cliches, guaranteed to cause fume.
You want honesty, a simple "it's not good enough and we're working hard to put it right" is all you want to hear, not half arsed justifications for things that are patently not working. Evertonians are smarter than that, and for all his PR and media training, he should maybe have figured that out for himself by now.
Not if it's to become someone you are not.
He's not a man who reacts differently to victory and defeat.
Isn't that the mark of a man according to Kipling?
