Yes, I think it has to be that way. I know a lot of transfer activity takes place in a flurry when teams need to get shut of players and then when one massive transfer takes place the whole league clicks into gear transfer wise on primary targets, but we cant afford to get caught up in that. I think we did it of necessity with Lukaku last summer because he is a goalscorer of proven quality and they are like gold dust. We're in a different place now though.

I'm just thinking about the money part of it; money that we usually don't have to play with...I'm not sure I want to know what our 2nd and 3rd choices would be. Who knows, I saw that Michy Whatshisname, that we were supposedly looking at at one point, has done well of late so it'll be interesting to see what he comes up with now that he's had a total look and not had to contend with the WC.
