... but he will be given that chance. You know that, I know that and everyone who posts here knows that.

For better or worse we ( well, the board ) will give him every chance to show that this bloody awful season was a one-off. In theory, if he rinses and repeats for the first half of next season it will set us back, but in practice it won't set us that far back. If he gets a half way decent start to the season, then he'll get the full season. If he continues with our current form then, chances are, he won't last the whole season.

Worst case scenario is we lose a season ( or half a season ) and we have to rebuild with a different manager. In the long term, that's not actually that awful, it just feels like it to us. Best case scenario, he learns from his mistakes and we get back to something like we were last season. I'm by no means convinced he'll learn, but I reckon it's a chance worth taking.
This is a good post tbf.

Though, i'm worried about our players that want to jib. That will be the biggest demoraliser, and also how he manages to bring players in after such an abysmal season.

Although I agree that he will be given another season, I think that is a very risky decision.

Public opinion is now against him, he has absolutely destroyed this team and near enough all of the blame is at his door. Imagine if we lost the opening two or so fixtures of next season? There would be turmoil and it could again disrupt us for the entire season. We then slip from this season being a 'blip' into something more, we'd have the other clubs circling for our best players.

With the stadium and the board we currently have. We could easily become the next Aston Villa, a big club just constantly hovering above the relegation zone, the scary thing is, they have a better infrastructure than us and a bigger population to exploit. No Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool on their door step either.

The worrying thing is there is no sign of improvement and he is just finding excuses to cover up the bad results. And I can't stand the crap he spouts week in week out. How on earth we can become the team last season when we can't even know how to defend now?

Mirallas? I'm gonna miss him like.

Nea about the penalty.

Mirallas, if he leaves, will probably leave due to sitting on the bench, the terrible season wouldnt be his prime motivation.

IMO

I didnt mean the players leaving would be rubbish, I meant we dont need no stinking disloyal weapons who jump ship at the first sign of trouble.

High risk keeping him for next season in my opinion, the only reason he did well was due to the squad and style of play he inherited. He has destroyed that this season. Players will allready be looking to exit if we keep this imbecile, if he has not gone before, or during the transfer window, we could lose some of our better players, who want to go and play football, and not this silly, ineffective, possession, flawed, easy to play against philosophy, as forced upon them by this manager/turkey! If we keep him I would guarantee we would be prime relegation candidates next season, funnily enough a position that this ineffective in every department joke of a manager is quite comfortable and familiar with.

Yeah i figured, hence why i said Mirallas (he's the one seen as disloyal for waiting on our EL crusade/end of season to decide whether he extends). He has been on the bench/out of the squad a lot but i thought that was just down to fitness. Surely he's no1 on the sheet of wingers.

I guess we just have to wait and see.

To be fair to Kev hes piped up most seasons saying he fancies some CL football.

That's a GOOD thing though Ed, that he's OK with fighting relegation. He said so. He's experienced at it ergo he's the best man for the job & the territory he thrives in. Which is this. He says that too...

*Oh, BTW, when I say 'THRIVE' I actually only mean up to the point when the club he represents really DOES get relegated, then he gets off as he's 'not the man to bring them back up'*

It's a Win/Win....for Bob.

The only thing we need concern ourselves with now is what sort of transfer budget Roberto gets.

We are a win away from safety. That's it.

I reckon he needs - on top of cash for players sold - another £20M to revamp this overhyped squad.
