All joking apart, I still dont want him out, I simply want the forward thinking manager we had last season back.

I can forgive this blip, as long as we dont go down.

I just want him to address the issues we have within the squad, he deserves that chance at least, if we dont start picking up points and VERY soon, that stance may change.

Now all forget you read this and allow me to call for his sacking some more.

I don't like it when you're being serious.

How can we even think of sacking him, now that he has just set a club record of 5 draws in a row at Goodison, 5 points from 15 isn't that bad, after all it could easily of been just 4.

Did well enough in the last game.

I dont think we have an obvious first rate GK though. I'd be hoping we punt Howard next season and bring in a top rate GK in with Robles as his deputy.

4 year contract though. He'll be our number one until the next World Cup. Phenomenal

do you think he will buy any pineapples and would you still be as positive if he then decided to cook them on a savoury type meal ??? say for instance a pizza ???

What can I say - Pineapples are one of them subjects that you should stay away from

I could get banned before I even start :-)

I definitely think the Europa league form is cutting him some slack with a lot of people. An early exit from that mixed with first round exits of both cups coupled with the disastrous league campaign then I think he'd be under immense pressure.

I honestly don't understand the need for change, now.

Like right now, we need what 8 more points to stay up and are in for a trophy. Going down would be terrible and winning a trophy would be superb.

So short term, you change for two reasons and two reasons only (1: if you think martinez won't win us the europa but someone else can from this position and 2) if you think martinez will send us down and another manager won't from this position).

I don't see how you can come to either of those conclusions.

He was not great, at all. The defence was good last season, of course. But Howard still did ridiculous things like punch the ball in his own net against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge
Howard's always had a howler. When Martinez brought him back as No1 my first thought was I hope he makes his howlers early enough to force Robles back into the team and not during a Europa League game.

That's my biggest positive take away from today's game. 3 in one game, 2 leading to goals. Nice one Timmy.

It certainly is. He might be gone by now if it wasn't.

Dont comment often but really our defending is embarrassing at times. we seem slow and turgid and lack any original ideas.

I am worried that we are seeing teh real Martinez this season and this is as good as it gets. Wigan and his performances really spring to mind.

There are issues and if he doesn't get them sorted he can't last. Mid table mediocrity this year and then how long do we give him before we get someone else in.

I was relatively happy with his appointment but this year we are poor and he has to take some of the blame and maybe he isn't as good as he thinks and we will need to move on. One thing I can say is this season outside Europe has been a stinker and brings very little joy to the weekends any more.

I think we are going to have to put up with at least one more season of this uttter drivel before we get rid of Martinez, as he isn't going to be sacked before hand, I'm afraid.

Still think he deserves chance to turn it around. But it's getting harder every week trying to defend/support him when he's making the same mistakes week in week out. For me there's been 3 glaring problems this season, and they are easily rectified and would go along way to helping peformances and results. 1st one was distins legs going, but thankfully his attitude helped sort that one out. 2nd was Howard, it's seems like every shot on target is going to go in. Add him to distin and the team was never going to keep clean sheets. 3rd is the playing 1 winger and a cm/fw on the other. It's killing the best 2 attacking fullbacks in the league. This was everything good about our attacking displays last season. It's also leaving the side terribly disjointed. Don't get me wrong these arnt the only 3 problems we've had but these getting sorted would go along way to better performances.
