Of course it was, but it has no bearing on domestic form, as it's a European fixture against a side who play a different style and quality of football than the Premier League. It's a good result because it meant we adapted to that style, adapted to the pitch and a foreign country - it means absolutely sod all though when looking at the league table and the performance against Leicester.

Yet you believe rodgers has made a mess of spending £125m in the summer. Even though they recouped £70m of that from Suarez sale ?

Doesnt matter if you sell to buy or just spend some billionaires money, you still make commitments to spend £x of money on a player. If you buy them and dont get the best of them then questions will be asked.

Rodgers has spent £235M in the past two and half seasons and has Liverpool languishing in 7th place. Am I not right to say Rodgers has pissed that money up against a wall?

It still doesn't excuse the absolute aberration that was the performance though. We stink of complacency at times, the tempo is like a pre-season friendly
