Until we get beat by QPR the following week. Then it's game on again.
Relax.

The heat has gone out of this situation now.

Relegation spots have been decided today almost certainly.

We now need about 6 points from 10 games to make sure.

Joe Royle and everyone else can stand down; they're not needed.

The thing is, a win will get a lot of people onside again. I'm tractable, so if we do ourselves justice in the Europa League and beat Newcastle, I'm back with him again. The problem is the situation has gotten so delicate that my feelings towards him hinge on individual games, a point to which we should never have gotten to.

Isn't that the very definition of being fickle ?

For me if he wins the EL then he gets the summer and start of next season as I think it would be fair. No EL then it's goodbye in May.

But if pre-season and start of next season is looking like he's not learnt a thing from this season then he goes. I think if the club were thinking this way they would have someone lined up to step straight in preferably before the transfer window shuts. We do our dealings late anyway so I can't see Bobby having many new signings.

It never really was a problem due to the dross below us, as people have repeatedly said. The real problem is the fact you've had to even type that sentence in bold.
