Martinez Interview

That interview frightens me.

It is like Hitler ranting on and on at his general as the Russians encircled Stalingrad by telling them to fight on to the last man no mater what because victory is just around the corner.

Martinez is insisting that his ways are right and that the players will "have to play his way....but be better about it".

And he won't "compromise" on his "philosophy".

*shakes head*

It is going to be a long hard winter, lids :(
*shakes head at your daft analogies*

A more apposite analogy would be WW1 :

Great enthusiasm and excitement at the beginning, giving way to disillusionment by Haig' s tactics of useless assaults, by walking slowly at the enemy.

After a good period of time, and after sustained criticism in some quarters, new and more mobile tactics evolved.Together with young fresh bodies victory was achieved.

To paraphrase : Tomorrow belongs to us.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says his side were "tactically perfect" in their 2-0 Premier League defeat to Hull.

"We approached the game in a positive manner and the team performed the tactics perfectly, I told them all before the game to play like a conference side and it was phenomenal the way they did it"

I actually thought that was real until the conference side thing.

Has he actually said that? If that's the case then he isn't long for this job. Painfully obvious to see that something is wrong.

Literally insane. Making the same mistake over and over waiting for something different to occur. Cmon Bobby sort this shambles out !

Edit: Didn't read the conference side part. Faceslap !!
