I find the blind love toward Martinez irrational. As of now he has not done anything in his past that for me makes me believe he can do this job. I realise the same could have been said for Moyes and I dearly hope Roberto is a success, but this in emporer's new clothes stuff.

I will now hold my counsel.

I believe that Everton is on the cusp of something VERY exciting. I think Roberto will inherit the best of Moyes (strong defence, commitment, work ethic, teamsmanship etc) and add to it his great strengths of lateral, stylish vision. I am seriously optimistic and very much looking forward to the new Season

I'm pretty excited to be honest, more excited than I would've been for another season with Moyes in charge. That's not a comment on Moyes as a manager, it's just nice to have a change to be honest.

Really hoping he has money to spend and signs a few players early on.

This

A new direction, a new coaching setup. Maybe it'll all end in tears, or may be, just may be, Bobby will have us playing like Swansea, the press gushing over us every week for it and who knows, a cup at the end of the season and a win at Anfield along the way. There's no harm in being optimistic instead of constantly looking for things to be pissed off about

Wining at Anfield with a bunch of no hopers

Winning at the Emirates with a bunch of no hopers

Winning an FA cup with a bunch no hopers

That's what I see when I look at him, maybe you're the one being blind because you just don't want to give the man a chance

What I don't like is Kenwright has brought in a yes man he knows he can control, who won't rock the boat about getting no money to spend. As far as Martinez himself goes, not even in my top five but as he's got the job he'll get my backing like most supporters

I like the way he sees Everton as a family - comprising the players the coaching staff the management and the fans - he wants us to dream the same dream - a family from the outside looks like an impenetrable forrest but inside the forrest every tree has its place - this Maestro might just become Everton's Mourinhio - one must not only truly believe that you will win - you must also prepare to win - Martinez knows that very well

I'm indifferent but definitely not upset. I like him as an individual, first and foremost, have done for a while...it's in the vaults. I know how I want us play, considering the squad we have, I just hope he sees it the same. Hope to see more of Barkley, Duffy and Oviedo this season and some boss slide rule passes for tap ins and lobs over the keeper. Preseason can't come soon enough now.
