not bothered, they are still wearing our shirt, playing for us,, people are just getting their thongs in a twist cos we are spoiling there top 4 wank fest,,even my sons football coach (i live in south east), an arse fan , was moaning at him tonight about our loans(the lad ditches the club training gear and wears everton stuff),,sons answer...so what .we won deal with it,, and try tellin me dad when he gets here,,,,no didnt think so....coyb

I wonder if our other players realise how ineffectual they are while these 3 loan players single-handedly carry everyone else (well 2.5 really as Del is often a sub).

Martinez certainly deserves no credit for our lofty position with his management skills and that, bobby out, get a loan manager in, everyone else out actually, apparently they offer nothing.

What we need is the Loan Arranger...

[Poor language removed] journalism, it's an option open to each and every club in the league and all can essentially bypass ffp regulations, it's only the fact we've used the loan market to it's full potential and been succesfull doing it that this bellend has decided to try and pick on us. He's blatantly ignoring our net spend over the past 10+ seasons and proving himself to be a lazy typical writer with this piece so i'll be ignorant too and swerve the tit's articles.

I don't understand why some posters have a 'who gives a **** what the media thinks' attitude. We know a lot of it is utter bilge and incredibly biased but it DOES have an influence. It means we don't get the credit we deserve, nor do we receive the exposure our performances merit. Things that might drive up our profile, our appeal to sponsors, foreign TV viewers etc - and ultimately our revenue.

Even when we're getting praised, the press are touting our best players (and even our not-even-in-the job-for-a-year manager FFS) as transfer targets.

NEA? If the players display that attitude to unjust decisions then we rightly get on their backs.

Would love it if we get 4th and make a better fist of CL than the @rse usually do or the RS might.

I just saw a table that says without loan players this season we'd be 14th.

I am guessing the loan players were replaced by cardboard cut-outs sporting the likenesses of our loan heroes during these hypothetical games, not with actual other football players of similar or lesser ability.

Incidentally Arsenal would be top, now I feel super guilty, we all should.

We'll have a good go I'm sure. Liverpool however will be at least semi final - it's their competition. The fans won't accept anything other than treating every game as a cup final

Inidentally Arsenal would be top, now I feel super guilty, we all should.

*nods solemnly in agreement*

Apparently this chopper is sports writer of the year, an award I suspect bestowed on him by his mother, who he still lives with.

wonder what the fat queg has to say about Atletico going through with a goalkeeper on loan??, surely if they win the champions league it would be a massive "sham" and a disgrace to football.

What the hell is wrong with loaning players? It's not a new phenomenon is it? I don't want to go with the whole 'der meeja genst us lad' but I do wonder sometimes. As soon as the kopites started picking up on us doing well with loan players, boom, national news.

Got to be honest, I am shocked.

I fully expected you to agree with the Daily Mail.

;)

I reckon that without the loan system the number of out of work professional footballers would run into thousands. Chelsea have 29 players out on loan...Parma simply sign everyone in sight and loan them out...a nice little earner. Currently they have 200 players out on loan. Who was it that last year loaned almost a whole team to Watford?
