A battle hardened defender with loads of experience at the highest level is exactly what we need to give the right kind of support to Holgate, Keane, Kenny and any other young(ish) defenders who get game time under Silva.

You sure Silva worked with him at Sporting? It was there he refused to train and forced a move.

Agreed, but I will say our players had become “THAT BAD.” This is what happens when you raise expectations through the roof and the players don’t have the mental fortitude to cope with the pressure.

But, some would prefer Minna without really knowing anything much about him or having seen him play outside of the World Cup.
I like the idea of signing Minna, young, athletic and huge... but he hasn't really been tested at the top level, because he couldn't get in the team.

We have no problem paying a large fee for a player that couldn't get into the Barca team but have a problem with paying money for players that actually have premiership experience with an equally big club.... I find it contradictory.... and I don't even believe we will sign Rojo.

Gauging transfers based on World Cup performances is not exactly pinpoint accurate.

I could see a back 2/3 including Mina and Rojo working.
I am not a big fan of Rojo, but I was a fan of Keane before he signed and he has turned out to be a bad fit within the teams structure.

My main concern is 30 mil !! Is he worth 30 mil if his fitness has been a concern and manyoo are offloading him to make space for another cb . Why is a reject valued at 30 mil by mou .

The gaffer identifies the player mate . Its down to brands and others to get the best deal . Say pay min for the player and dont give him the same wages as united . I want to see some effect from brands . Whats the point of appointing him if we cant negotiate well in the market mate .
