And your expecting a man whos been in the job for 12months to totally reverse the last 30 years in 1 year.

Unrealistic expectations is Evertons major problem.

I dont think the 30 years has any relevance. A manager can get a team going in the right direction in 12 months. Look at santo at wolves. So impressed that they have bought good players on the fraction of cost that we have and he clearly bought them to fit into his style of play and work ethic. They all look like they know exactly what they need to do from the manager.
I appreciate there is a different expectation and maybe thats what needs looking at.

I said this mate it's great getting good players in but the main man is the manager and we have never addressed it properly, you only have to look at the r s they went big after sacking Rodgers and are reaping the benefits.
I genuinely draw a blank trying to figure out a "top manager" we should be trying to get. Most of them are either on their back ends and would join for a paycheck (Mancini) or a bunch are unproven.

Still to this day think Favre would have been the perfect transition after Martinez left instead of figureatively blowing it up with Koeman. You want tweaks to an established system, not to say "great, you guys have been playing counter attacking football, now we are going to lump it in to the box for a grock".

Helps that they have an agent on the pay roll to bring them players in like, nothing to do with the manager

Just my opinion but I think he will be gone by Xmas........

How long is long enough to give him, 10 PL games takes us to end of October, in that time we have :-

Wolves (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Sheffield Utd (H)
Man City (H)
Burnley (A)
West Ham (H)
Brighton (A)

How many points should we be on by then for him to keep his job?!? I think we will only have about 11 points from our 1st 10 games! On current form.......

I think he'll do OK but the runup to Christmas is BRUTAL. I don't see him making it past there if this doesn't change.

if we lose to Lincoln then im quite sure questions will be seriously asked

Don’t think they will to be honest, lads will here alright, but that’s to be expected and it will ebb and flow depending on good and bad results and patches, of which there will be both, here isn’t the real world though.

I see a broader developmental plan at the club and think they will rely on Silva to be integral to it.

Only one of our managers since Kendall has been a regular trophy winner, Walter Smith albeit in the Scottish leagues and only one was highly rated, ironically by said pot winner who went on to be one of our longest serving managers, everyone else (Walker, Martinez, Koeman and Silva) have been flavours of the month

Koeman won a trophy or more at 5 different clubs though.

And Wolves are somebody we should aspire to be now?
