He doesn't get my unequivocal backing, that's for sure, but we saw last season a manager who can get wins and have us playing decent football. He's a bit too cautious for my liking overall. Then again, isn't caution rather than a bucaneering approach what most current Evertonians want? They've made that plain over the last deacde or so.
I wouldn’t say I wanted a cautious manager , I mean bobby was the polar opposite and we shipped goals like nobody’s business. But like you say Silva is to cautious imo , the
Moyes team with arteta , baines etc and yak was a good team and played some very good football and was solid defensively and even when we got beat you could never say we looked unfit , lazy or wernt fighting.
Moyes problem was when the big games come he was paralysed with fear of losing , if we could get a similar style of play with a bit more adventure in big games I would be happy. Moyes always tried to shut up shop whenever we scored first but he also had us turning around games we conceded in first and we have had some great comebacks under him. So a mix of bobby and Moyes styles is what I would like to see if I’m being realistic. I mean I would love us to play like city and have so much of the ball our defenders most important attributes were passing rather than defending or playing like them lot that score first and then blow teams away whenever they venture forward trying to equalise but that’s not really going to happen without massive change in attitude, management and a lot of funding
