player's not good enough to take chances

always the same excuse when we lose, oh we had chances. absolute sitters. never gets old.

Players not good enough for midfield. He doesn't take shots, and he doesn't sell good players and replace them with utter 'kin tat.

we sure have a much better squad than the likes of Villa and Palace, he will never be able to build a consistent team of players.

He doesn't get my unequivocal backing, that's for sure, but we saw last season a manager who can get wins and have us playing decent football. He's a bit too cautious for my liking overall. Then again, isn't caution rather than a bucaneering approach what most current Evertonians want? They've made that plain over the last deacde or so.

Even Leicester had the guts last season to peddle their midtable appontment in Puel and went for an ambitious enough appointment in Rodgers who for me will likely get 7th minimum this season.

Im confused as to where this club is heading.

How can you spend so much money & have grandeur plans for a new mega stadium but give the reigns to a novice manager who's record in the league is average to poor?

Just dont get it and the Echo never have once asked the question as they care too much about not upsetting the club / how shiny Bobby Firmino's teeth are.

Really annoys me how when we go behind he puts on all the forwards and empties the midfield. It has only worked on a few occasions and we never come back, he would be better making changes in midfield and forward rather than chucking on every attacker with no supply.

That's easy to say when you can afford financial mistakes the size of Di Maria, Veron etc...we've had to be that way for a long time and I don't see it changing until after the stadium is built.

I just don't understand it. Freshen things up and change a forward or two fine but he removes the supply line and is relying on big balls down field it's really odd, it doesn't fit with his overall style of football and exposes his naivety if you ask me.

I get the impression Neville was talking about on the field as well mate, like we're in a position to challenge the top 6 but we just don't seem willing to take that next step and gamble, and really go for it on the pitch, focusing more on just playing it safe.

You've got to have the squad for that...we've always (seems that way, anyhow) had some part of the squad that would make doing that inadvisable. What I've always hated is we never seem to have a thinking squad, capable of mixing things up on the fly if something's not working. I've seen it on rare occasion, possibly only once or twice...one time it was so noticeable that Leighton mentioned it after the match.

The only "system" I like is a fluid one...I hate rigidity in play style, it's a pet peeve. Then again, you have to be able to afford the players that can do it and have that culture in the club itself to bring up players like that through the ranks. Anyhow, getting off track...money, eh.
