Based on XG stats we have been relatively good, but have been unlucky. Of course, this statistic does not capture all the factors, ie it has its limitations, but it is quite accurate. Based on these statistics, we should have been in fifth place on the table. If you take the expected points per match (X), then subtract points per. match with expected points per match (Y) you get a measure of how lucky or unlucky the teams have been. Everton is one of the teams that according to these statistics have been good, but have been unlucky. Statistics are not everything, but based on these statistics we should not do anything drastic yet.

The simple truth is that he shouldn't have to turn anything around. He is about 50 competitive games into his tenure if you include cup games and there should at the bare minimum be consistency by now. This tosser still doesn't even know his best team, formation or plan. Sure you can have a blip here and there but a blip is a couple of poor performances, not winning just 2 games out of 8 and 5 losses against bang average teams bar 1 and sitting in the relegation zone after just 8 games. That isn't just a blip, it is someone who is completely out of his depth and incapable.

Giving the man any more games is pointless and just prolonging the inevitable.

Get him gone ffs Everton and lets start moving forward competently.

m8 other managers exist, Marco has shown all he can imo and he won't take us to the next level, Any competent manager does not play 4-2-3-1 with Morgan and Delph in the middle when it's not worked in 3 games and them 3 games have all resulted in losses. I'd stick to till the end of the season and boot but I honestly fear he could put us in a dangerous position with the way he goes about things and not changing it when losing 4 games on the trot.

I’ve been saying it since Moyes left...get Mike Bassett in FFS!

Mark O’Silver was never the right man for us. Martinez was superb for one season (with Moyes’ well-drilled defence), but then the rot set in.

Bassett would make us defensively solid and he’s proven he can field a dynamic attacking brand of play given the resources.

Bassett is the man to take us to the next level, and onwards in to the new stadium.

I'm more of a guy who'd like to see people suffer and have zero excuses if things go wrong. Basically give them enough rope to hang themselves with. That's a combined effort of Silva, Brands, and Mosh.

They won’t go for Jose cos of his Inter links and even if they did it’d be a no brainer, Milan where he’s been and had success in the past or Liverpool

Problem with the above team, formation and plan, that even though that's all his favourite, it's absolutely crap and doesn't work

So the worrying thing for me is that he believes the above is the right thing which is why he isn't changing anything at all.
