We say this every season though.

It's only one game, it's only a couple of games, season is still young, only half way through the season etc...

Just for once would it not be nice to come firing out of the gates?

On the surface a draw away from home is OK. But looking closer if we want too push on we need to be winning or at least look like winning these winnable away games especially against a Palace side who has had a bit of behind the scenes problems with their best player.

Personally I am sick of playing catch up after week one.
Your right, when did we last win the 1st game of the season? Always seem to draw 0-0

Won 1 nil 2017/18. Drew 2:2 last season. We rarely draw nil nil first game as 2016/17 was 1:1 and before that 2:2. Granted we draw regularly but theres usually goals

Not really - we missed out on europe by 3 points last season - thats 1 games result.

I couldn't care if its 2,3,9 or 34 games in mate - its the same manager, largely the same team as last season and I want to see progression in our performances.

Yes the new signings will hopefully improve us but we still should be beating the likes of Palace without Zaha regardless of if Moise Kean is on the pitch or not.

At what point does the question get asked "what are the coaches/manager doing to improve the players already here?"

Look at Sterling's transformation under Pep - our fanbase has become too spoilt with money and blame anyone without realising its the managements job to get the best out the players at the club.

Next week I want to see some sort of plan - some clinical play and interchange with the front 3 etc.
The problem is the lack of a striker, DCL won’t score and Kean wasnt ready.

He can’t coach players tho to not miss easy chances. He can only do so much as a manager it’s upto the players to

I agree to an extent however I would like to see him/the coaching staff work more on the front 4 interchanging and opening up more space, watching us play at times is so predictable its all down the wings / Coleman - we need to mix it up at times imo get Bernard moving in central have Gylfi drift out wide to drag a defender out of position etc.

Im confident we'll improve with Kean and Iwobi but we seem to never have a Plan B for when we face any side that drops 10 behind the ball.

It's not. The problem is poor decision making in the final third as a team.

All of them are guilty of it, even our better players. Currently out striker would have to create a goal himself out of nowhere or we get a bit of Richarlison and Sigurdsson magic. You cant rely on that every week.

Just thought I would pop in again this season before our game Tomoz so win draw or lose you can’t label me as a glory hunting poster :) watched your game today and since I class as you as the same round about level and yard stick for this season , I can definitely say we have nothing to fear . You doubted me last season and give it the Johnny big balls when I said we are a level above regarding manager and team . A lot of your forum members still think that you will finish higher than us this season as we have the extra games in Europe . Aka Chester blue (deluded fan ) and the rest of the doubters , wolves are here to stay ! Hopefully it gels with all your new signings which I do actually rate , but as far as breaking into the top 6 , 4 . I think not . Same goes for wolves , we are both still fighting for best of the rest ;) best of luck for rest of season and look forward to both games when we meet once again . UTW

Hmm this kind of post is sort of flattering really. It shows how big a club Everton really are, when you see these fans of lesser smaller and inferior clubs, coming on here and giving it the big one.You haven't won anything of note since 1980, and Emlyn Hughes used to play for you.So why don't you calm down a bit, and show a bit more respect to a club, that is way bigger and more respected worldwide than Wolves ever were and ever will be.

I think overall that was a disappointing result yesterday.Ok it was a draw away from home. But we have a winnable run of opening fixtures, and i think most of us would have considered that game to be winnable.Of course our poor away record, is well documented at this stage. But we kept a clean sheet, and we should improve as the the season goes on, and once the new signings get bedded in.

Hey mate. I reckon you will be relegated within 5 years.

Drew 0-0 on the first day of the season with a side who beat Man city 3-2 away from home in the league last season, and it's some sort of disaster.

Perspective needed. Clean sheet, easily could've been a win, a number of new signings to come in. Some folk need to get a grip of reality.
