I have to admit to feeling a little sad tonight.
Silva had to go for sure but I genuinely believe he is a decent chap who was trying his best for our great club. Ultimately, his best was nowhere near good enough.
Compare tonight with the euphoria that greeted Koeman's sacking and the end of Bisto Boy's horrible association with us and I hope you'll see what I mean.
I wish Marco well wherever he ends up and I hope, for his sake, it's not back at the joke of a club known as Watford.

But we're not appointing Ferguson. What we're doing is not tolerating overwhelming failure.

I can't for the life of me understand how any Evertonian could have a problem with the sacking of Silva. It's... weird.

Because I’m worried that the solution they come up with is going to be even worse, just as it was when Koeman was sacked! Not only is it theoretically possible, we have experience of the exact outcome in the last two years.

You might want to sit down right now.

But he gets a multi million pound payout, from the club, for being awful at his job.

Exactly which is why this is disappointing all round, add it to the other 50 mill weve wasted on managers to get worse. I have sympathy for Silva though, the club is a basket case.

He’s better of leaving in my opinion, career wise, managers know the score and go on often to better things., while we continue to pay them.

Good post, my thoughts exactly, think he was very unlucky with injuries this season, poor recruitment in the summer and the needs of the business to sell players.

Wish him well, I think he will go on elsewhere.

No winner here, the club or the manager.

Successful? Sam had the same average points return as Unsworth, we were smashed by both Spurs and Arsenal by 4 goals and we got kicked out of the FA cup in the first round. And that is just the results - the football itself was even worse!

We were safe by Christmas and Sam got the rest of the season to see if he could be anything more than he had shown in any of his previous long career - he instead wanted to settle for draws against the mighty Swansea and Watford.
He had the notoriously difficult January window to reshape the dross into an attacking outfit seems to be your logic.

You seem to be forgetting how crap this crew was prior to his structure and what a transformation it was squaring relegation fears by the turn of the year. If these balloons were so capable of the togger you seem to think was in them then why did Silva and Brands off load so many and bring in more during the summer?

Come on. lad get your thinking cap on
