All of these things are true IMO.

-He's a decent man.
-He cared about the club.
-He was not good tactically.
-His lineups and substitution patterns were bad.
-He should have been fired earlier.
-They treated him poorly by stringing him along.
-The club had terrible luck this year.
-He had no idea how to fix it.
-Had the club not had such luck, he'd be mid-table or better.
-He's far from the only problem at Everton.
-The team will do better without him.
-During his best run of games the team played their best football over the past few years.

100% true all of these statements!

Can we use the term clusterfuck? Because that is what this club is becoming!
Getting rid of Silva was probably the right thing to do but the whole situation is bleak. That is what, 4 managers in 10 years (plus Unsworth) and now we are hoping on a romantic fairy tale in the shape of Duncan. God damn Bill Kenwright and his production of Everton football club, there is only so much drama I can cope with!

He had the notoriously difficult January window to reshape the dross into an attacking outfit seems to be your logic.

You seem to be forgetting how crap this crew was prior to his structure and what a transformation it was squaring relegation fears by the turn of the year. If these balloons were so capable of the togger you seem to think was in them then why did Silva and Brands off load so many and bring in more during the summer?

Come on. lad get your thinking cap on
lol you make it sound like I was expecting us to challenge for the title!

Whilst there are obvious difficulties being appointed mid season, those challenges apply to all managers and in his 6 months in charge we ranked 20th for total shots, 19th for total shots on target, 16th for passing accuracy and 17th for shots faced in the Premier League. You would expect that he’d have been able to improve the latter two at the very least. And there is no excuse for thinking a draw with Swansea in April (when they got relegated with a miserly 33 pts) was in any way ”good” draw.

Excellent summation

It's his job! We know that Kenwright and Moshiri haven't got a clue. Who'd you suggest is in charge of the decision?!

It was his job to being in quality players, he has failed in that regard, given his track record of recruiting i would not want him making such a big decision on his own.
