I was just wondering .... are we now in a worse mess than we were when Koeman was sacked ?

On the face of it, yes.

I think we have a worse points tally after eight games (though I am open to correction there), the football is dire and most worryingly, have played cannon fodder in all but one of our eight games whereas Koeman was handed a horrendous run of opening fixtures that season plus we had been playing EL football in between the league games.

On the other hand the football might be dire but it was twice as bad then and if nowt else, Marco doesn’t give out the vibe that he couldn’t give a stuff about either the results or the club, the way Koeman did.

Delusion.

Manchester City have a better squad than us.
Liverpool have a better squad than us.
Tottenham have a better squad than us.
Arsenal have a better squad than us.
Manchester United have a better squad than us.
Leicester have a better squad than us.
Chelsea have a better squad than us.

Such as who? Who is available?

Only two teams there with a stronger starting 11. This season was a massive opportunity to get in the champions league, and with the generous fixtures we got, we should be third right now.

Thinking anything above 17th is acceptable is delusional. We finished 8th last season and 8th under Fat Sam and 7th under Koeman. We spent loads trying to catch up the Sky 6.

It’s the job of the board and Brands to convince whoever available Everton is the right club for him. Only they know who is available.

What does he do this season to convince you he can turn this around? He just won’t and you know that.

Lucas Digne, Barcelona reject.

Yerry Mina, so solid that we tried to sign Marcos Rojo after failing to sign a Chelsea reserve CB.

Michael Keane, one and a half decent seasons at Burnley does not a top player make.

Seamus Coleman, half the player he was 5 years ago. Signed a Monaco reject on loan as backup who was rinsed several times at Lincoln.

Fabian Delph, a squad player at City who was cover for a midfielder who played LB.

Morgan Schneiderlin, Manchester United reject.

Alex Iwobi, squad player at Arsenal.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, a decent player - for Swansea.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, not a PL-quality CF.

Yet you accept 17th with this squad and believe Silva is the holy grail.

I didn't say that Silva is the holy grail, I just believe he's the best option we have available to us at this moment.

I really don't like this culture of sacking a manager when a couple games go against us. It's not Everton.

If so, never sack Koeman or Fat Sam and get a worse manager in.

Simply we can’t continue this decline in results and performance.
As a club we need to find a manager that can get the backing of the fan base, but have the credentials to instil a belief in the players

Not an easy ask, but something we need to get right

Can't see us sacking him yet because of moshiris investment and brands realationship with him.
If we are were we are in the league now by the derby then he will be toast
