The means justifies the end for me.
I back him for one reason wholly, he plays football, he plays risk taking, expansive, creative football as a core footballing philosphey, he will risk a defeat for a win.
That is exactly ingrained in the fabric of the clubs historic identity. We have lost our way with that for over 30 years now, through no finance and playing percentage football by small margins.
The club and the managers philosphey need to align, and we need to have patience to get back to what we are. You can see it in so many of our players playing with fear and pragmatism struggling to adjust to being creative and playing to win rather then trying hard not to make a mistake. Fear and pragmatism has become our reassurance. There will be disappointing result's as this is worked through and losses. But I wholly back Silvas approach and prepared for more losses to get it right as long as we’re not at risk
I’m actually excited by what he is doing and what he is attempting, as long as we are risk free, I’m not overly bothered about results or exactly where we will finish. At worst we will be top ten at best six. But the wider battle for th clubs identity is the most important thing and his approach needs to be stamped over every player and facet of the club.
We need to play and be without fear once again.
