You may have a point there as Koeman proved that good players don't necessarily make good managers. It's just that our forwards seem to always want that extra touch or second to think, which inevitably leads to the attack breaking down. Proven goal scorers could offer players like DCL mentorship and advice which surely would improve their game.

I feel for Silva, he's said nothing wrong here in my view, but no-one wants to hear it from him. He desperately needs a result, because his authority and credibility is seeping away.

Once we find the person responsible for picking these players constantly he is in for it.

The problem is the alternatives to those players come with their own problems. Most of these issues predate this manager. Doesn't mean he isn't responsible for his decisions of course.

MIna is pretty vocal too in fairness, as is Pickford.

Although I think a lot of what Pickford says is a result of his tourettes, so it`s probably just a load of jumbled up swear words.

Martinez, koeman fat sam and now silva all have played with the same formation. All were too stubborn to change. All were unsucessful.all were sacked. (Im including marco here!!)

Not 1 of these managers have tried anything different for any reasonable period of time. Why not play 433 or 4132 at home from the off against the lower table clubs. Start attack from the off. Non stop for 90 mins. Big attacking intensity. Movement up front. Get the crowd onside.

Believe in the players. Forget 2 holding midfielders. Forget crosses from outwide way outside the box. It has failed for 5 years. Long enough to be putting up with this crap sideways backwards slow passing with no movement.

Marco is too stubborn like the others above.Wont change either like they didnt. Will be sacked like them too.

Is that a serious question? Sigurdsson has touched the ball a total of about 8 times in the opening 6 games. Our "captain" won't say boo to a goose and we're still playing Morgan Schneiderlin who pretty blatantly hides on the pitch and has done for the last two years.

Hit the nail on the head there, we need players with that winning mentality and that includes the coaches. How good would it be if we could get say Thierry Henry or van Nistlerooy or someone like them to coach the forwards. I would also like to see Peter Reid provide the motivation at half time if we have performances like the last two games.

Thierry Henry! maybe not the best suggestion.
Walcott when at the Arse, gave an interview saying he was learning the striking role from Henry. That worked out well then. [Poor language removed] coach or [Poor language removed] player?

Walcott's game has always been about pace and he reminds me of Bolasie in a way, in that he is more of an athlete than a footballer. He was decent for Arsenal when he was younger but the years are catching up with him now. I still think Henry would be a better attacking coach than Ferguson though.

I think its time to get David Moyes back saw him at the airport and he said he would return Kenwright must just give him a call. The recent managers have outlayed lots of cash on average player that dont have the commitment to the side. I was at Goodison the night we won the league and those guys would have died for the shirt they wore for most of these players its a very well paid job. Why cant we buy quality we have bought a few but with the money we have spent we should have a side that can compete in the top 6 at least
