Said it before mate about the deadwood, if a club does not come in for them then they are going no where and Everton cannot force them if they do not want to go. Brands cannot just tell them to get lost.
We need to able to acquire players of high value for way below market price. I'm not sure Brands and his nerds are the men for the job. That's what they have to be able to do if we're to potentially compete at the highest level. Fact is our coach can hang with any of the great coaches of today, his record tells you as much. On top of that he's got a very clear way of playing. If you know what you're doing it shouldn't be difficult to get the players in.

I also think the sales will be much closer to deadline day. Teams aren't clamoring for Walcott, Iwobi, Delph, Tosun... but if their other options fizzle out they could settle for our leftovers as last minute loans.
It is a shame that Tosun got injured because he was playing well for CP and I think they would have exercised their option to buy at the end of the season.
Nkounkou is looking like the real deal. Branthwaite looks really promising, and if reports are true; Brands is responsible for keeping DCL against Silva’s wishes.
