Who cares whether our signings this window have been all thanks to Brands, Ancelotti or both, I'm excited with what i'm seeing and that'll do for me

well well wellCarlo Ancelotti has endorsed Marcel Brands to be given an extended stay at Goodison Park after Everton’s successful transfer window.
Brands, the club’s Sporting Director, has entered the final 12 months of the three-year deal he signed he June 2018. He has been under scrutiny from supporters at times, particularly when Everton were faltering badly under Marco Silva.
Ancelotti said at the end of last season that he and Brands had “a beautiful relationship” and Everton’s manager has highlighted the work the Dutchman has done to help drive the team forward; he hopes major shareholder Farhad Moshiri will reward Brands.
‘I don't know how long his contract is, honestly,’ said Ancelotti. ‘What can I say? He is doing a fantastic job and he has done a fantastic job. I have a fantastic relationship with him, the board still has a fantastic relationship with him; if he has to renew the contract I don't know.
'The job that he is doing is really good. I said before the transfer window we had the discussion about the new players and we were totally agreed to sign these players. I would not force a club or a director to sign a player that they don't like.
‘The players that arrived were players that had a desire to come and every one of us was agreed to sign them.’
Brands will be tasked this weekend with offloading some players, as Everton’s squad is top heavy. Ancelotti would be willing to allow Moise Kean to leave on loan if a suitable arrangement could be found; he says the Italy Under-21 striker has a long-term future at Goodison Park but needs games.
‘The plan for him is to improve his quality, to put on him more knowledge and experience, more ability to work hard every day,’ said Ancelotti. ‘It doesn't matter in our point of view how many games he is going to play, what's important is the fact he is really young.
Exactly he could just have said nothingReading Ancelotti’s latest comments, he clearly likes Brands a lot.
Are you trying to give @davek a heart attack?Give him a contract for life and the keys to the club.

Brands has not started his real work yet...very flattering comments and said he wasn’t aware Brands is in final year of his contract. So important the manager/DoF are ‘on the same page’ and Ancelotti’s comments suggest they are.
it really isn’t about whether a signing is Brands or Ancelotti’s. As Ancelotti’s says, he wouldn’t want anybody that Brands doesn’t agree with. Brands seemed very busy during the window, contrast to @davek view of him being on ‘gardening leave’.
Very interested if the club look to extend his deal, or indeed if Brands wants to stay beyond this season.
Davek is comedy genius. Wrong about absolutely everything. I think he may be David Ike in disguise (the names are similar) He’ll soon be telling us that the club has been taken over by alien lizards disguised as Brands, Ferguson and Baines....very flattering comments and said he wasn’t aware Brands is in final year of his contract. Best one yet. lolIt's clear from the interview Ancelotti gave that Brands is struggling to keep his job here.
I'm not surprised. A quarter of billion he wasted on utter tripe. This summer big signings - as we all KNOW - was down to Ancelotti.
Value-wise we can do better by leaving Ancelotti to do his transfer window stuff in summer's and January's - buying big cash signings, and hire a head scout to trawl the lower leagues here and the continent for good cheap signings. That way we save on the wages of Brands and add it to the transfer pot.
