I would rather be Everton 2-0 up and defending than being Citeh 2-0 down and having nearly all the ball.

Can not see Vic lasting 90 mins on his stamina, can not see Fellaini lasting 90 mins as Moyes will probably have to take him off next half tackle. Osman may not last 90 mins either.

Only half time, only half the job done.
Please please please Everton, win this from here.

Im not wanting him out...but you've got to judge the whole picture rather than the highlights. This is a highlight - losing to WBA 4-1 is the flip side to the coin.

Anyway...back on game...

Back to the stern looking Everton. He's put disaplined players on the pitch and they're doing their jobs to the letter.

We've had to shots and scored twice. In other games that's not the case. The 2nd goal was something Barca would be proud of.

But make no mistake, we are seriously under the cosh. We're too narrow in defence when they pile the pressure on...there's plenty of space out wide for them to hit which Im sure they'll use in the 2nd half. So far, its worked...but barely.

Vic's doing well on his todd up front...but he's doing what I think are other strikers can/could do.

Its smash and grab. And we've smashed em in the 1st 20minutes. Its time for Moyes to hopefully have something up his sleeve cos Citeh will hit us with every trick in the book....and if Johnson comes on against a tired Ossie and Baines....

Its not over.

Spot on.

Every Everton player on the pitch has been heroic - won't make any criticism of any of them (except Ossie having no shot on him whatsoever!) - my only fear is David Moyes doing a David Moyes. We could be 4-0 up and I'd still be nervous thanks to his "way"...

Love how baines squeezed that in with his right foot and all. Lovely goal. And we're defnding great, clsoing down, blocking incredibly. So good, this performance. The midfield is boss. Anichebe is good up front, strong, but defending he looks very confused about where he's supposed to be, look how he got in felli's way at that one point. Should think more. Seamus, on the other hand, our unschooled man, has kolarov's testicles in his pocket. Amazing work. Distin and Jags are giants, and Baines is a frucking titan. Timmy is great as well. Yay!

Bring on the second half, bring on the full time whistle, bring on the clean sheet.

As we have observed before, many teams seem to get in a lot of crosses against us. Blame the full backs or their cover? Not sure.
Lucky, they don't have Tim Cahill!

I'd bet you anything I can reasonably afford that we will.

Or, more specifically, we'll keep shape until the 60th minute then go "back to wall" and "Moyes" it till the 90th minute, hanging on desperately to a 2-2 draw at best.

I'll quote this after 90 minutes whether I'm right or wrong!

I kinda agree here, but think positive. We've played exceptionally well for 30 mins, need to crack on and stop lying down like a dying swan after a glorious flight
