Doesn't matter if the game plan is to SLOW the GAME DOWN and settle behind the ball.

City bossed that second half.... 10 MAN Man City.

This follows on from last season away from home: no killer instinct. A flaccid force led by a cautious boss.
Yes, that's right, 10 MAN and 500 MILLION POUNDS Man City. You are correct. Their first XI alone cost them between 300 - 350 million pounds. Ours cost close to 100 million.

I know that we can't appeal a second yellow but we shouldn't have to, it's situations like this that the ref and the premier league should retrospectively rescind that second yellow and punish Aguero for obvious cheating.

I won't hold me breath though....

lol

You're a 'kin joke

Funny how Koeman said in his interview that he was frustrated that we played too many long balls and rushed it too much

CBA with Dave anymore.

Anyway, a great performance overall. One mistake for me was Gylfi coming on when he did.

At that point, we needed a bit of pace, whether it be Kev or Lookman.

DCL was superb.

I don't know mate. In Moyes' defence he had less technical players then. Koeman introduced Klaasen and Sigu as technical midfielders to pack the midfield. They could do neither. Klaasen hasn't shown any qualities of an AM to me so far. Seeing how Sterling and Danilo were running on the wings it would have made better sense to have brought Lookman or Mirallas on with their pace to counter their wing play. I like Koeman but his 2nd half tactics could have been better.

I meant in the context of the match. In the Moyes game, we had them on the ropes from the opening whistle, and all we had to do was maintain momentum. Moyes retreated.

Tonight, we never had them in the same way. We scored against the run of play after they got close.

...the top sides would pick off a 10 men City side who were totally committed to attack. That has to be our aspiration. I think it was positive to go with a back four but we needed to break in numbers and with tempo to exploit City's situation. Until we create against the top sides we won't challenge the top four.

I thought we had a good crack at that tonight. Looked like we could have got a win out of it around 70 mins in. They really ramped it up towards the end though.

The defensive display impressed me - we look pretty solid at the back when we need to be which is really refreshing in this league at the moment. Calvert-Lewin really impressed too. I think I'm beginning to see the potential now.

All in all, good result.

lollollol

Having a meltdown because we drew at city; a team whose back line cost more than what Koeman has spent on his team

Carry on dave, keep the fume alive

City showed in their first match that they probably have the most skilful set of attacking ballplayers in the PL. Tjey were always going to give us a hard time at home , they had what 63% possession in the first half so not sure why all the fume about our second half performance, this is a talented top four team who cost a fortune to put together. Not many will take a point off them at their place.
