Either you are very young or havent been supporting us for long. We have a inferiority complex when it comes to them lot, losing in the league is bad enough but losing in a final at wembley to a team of yard dogs would be devastating.
Doesn't matter now though...

I would start suing the linesmen and referees every mistake that leads to goals, ok where would it stop but hey then the linesmen would have to get the referees main lawyer involved to defend their employee. Though an employee at work has made a costly error and resulted in other employees based on their profession missing the chance to play at Wembley and win a trophy in their short career because the linesman was poor at their job. not fair really. If enough claims where put in with a good lawyer to fight on the players behalf then maybe changes could come in quicker as linesmen would be afraid to do their job with the risk of being sued. force the issue as these mistakes are bg in a players career but means nothing to the linesmen or referee.

By then we'd have lost Rom, Stones and possibly Barkley.
And more probably, I thought something was building at a Everton now it's all starting to crumble. The only chance we have in keeping any of those is if Martinez goes now, we are currently in a right old mess, it's not about tonight, it's mainly been for the last year.

It never is the case mate it seems. Never martinezs fault, always the ref or bad luck or European football or the home fans.

Tbh I'm sick of hearing excuses about him, we haven't won a league game against anyone who currently aren't going down since September! The same predictable subs killed the game off tonight for us as we couldn't attack city once we had no pace. It just isn't good enough for a team who are meant to be quite good on paper
I agree he hasn't been good enough and am tired of hearing the endlessly naive positivity but for me I'd wait til the end of this season and see where we are. If we aren't in a European place through a cup final or through the league then I think I'd have him in a technical director role and see someone else manage the players he buys because his transfer record is quite good.

Ffs. You guys that are blaming Roberto for bent officials do my head in. We MATCHED City, probably the best team in the Premiership, over both games. In the end, if you take into account a poor call in our favour in the first leg and a poor call against us in this leg, it went down to a hair's breadth. We were also really unlucky to lose Besic and Mirallas on Saturday. The only thing i can blame Martinez for is offloading Naismith without getting cover in.
Like you optimism but if you dissect the game more ,we weren't at the races

Not sure 'bent officials' are to blame. Poor decision, but to have 3 City players in the box unmarked is criminal. Same strategy with Martinez 100% of the time. I can predict his subs and at what time he will make them. His is a man void of imagination and leadership.

This all day long.....a new manager is the only small chance we have of holding onto them.

So tempting to not bother with Everton anymore, other than looking at their results and hoping they don't get relegated. It's not worth getting emotionally invested because every season is a display of mediocre disappointment. I expect following Everton is similar to following a team like Stoke, just with unrealistically higher expectations, which makes the mediocrity more frustrating.
My Son whose 6 is just beginning to find out what the life of an Evertonian is all about.

I have to put Martinez on mute these days
There had been murder up there . Mancs getting bingoed all over the place after fronting it by the coaches .

Bingoed
When, after holding in a [Poor language removed] for a long time, the tip peaks out and then pops back in just long and far enough to make an impression on the inside of your underwear similar to a bongo marker.

I had to [Poor language removed] so bad but, my computer took so long loading my Facebook I bingoed

erm Wut ?

Too many half arsed individuals, mixed in with in cleverley and osman who are absolute garbage.

The club has no ambition whatsoever, and no guts anymore. It's pathetic. They should be so thankfully the everton fans base is one of the most fiercely loyal in the world. Time for the club to stop accepting brave near misses and start being EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB again.

First things first, A PROPER MANAGER.
Feel the same way mate, city deserved to win, and how the hell can we be going into games needing to score at least 3 goals to win a game. Because you know they will score a few.
